If you are one of the people who bought into the secret and the law of attraction, you might have discovered that it doesn’t seem to be working for you. The problem is that there are some flaws in much of the material written. The market has become saturated with books on the subject and so many of them are written to attract desperate and unhappy individuals. These books inspire narcissism, greed and envy and it is not surprising that the only people getting richer are the people writing them.

Stop sweating the small stuff and start caring about the things which really matter. Learn to forgive and to show appreciation and gratitude for everything you have. Stop depending upon others and accept that you are a creative and talented individual who is in control of their life and who knows where they are going. Stop worrying about money and give charitably whenever you can. Accept that you are the creator and shaper of your destiny. To trust and to let go is to walk on the path to liberation and freedom.
Use affirmations to change flawed beliefs
Make a list of positive things about yourself and turn them into affirmations, these affirmations will be adopted by the subconscious mind and start healing and changing you from within. For example try saying, ” I am a creative, I am talented, I am loving, I am loved, I give freely, I am confident, etc. ” Repeat these affirmations several times a day. When you wake in the morning tell yourself that this will be another great day where you will achieve anything you turn your hand to.
Plan your life
Plan your day and give all of your activities and duties an alloted time slot. Write down what you really want from life and list some goals too. Start thinking about what you could do to make those goals reality.
Meditate
Learn to meditate and get in tune with the universe. Induce alpha states and become aware of your core beliefs and the reason why you are who you are. Discover a sense of peace and detachment from the crazy reality we’ve created for ourselves. Open your eyes and see all of the beauty around you, however insignificant it may seem. Learn what you really want from life, is it really the flashy red sports car and the dream home? Or is it something else, something spiritual and magical and real? You can then connect with your subconscious mind and tune into the universe.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.
On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.
Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.
THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.
While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.
We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.
If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.
