Brainwave Entrainment Deep Brain Stimulation by Use of Brainwave Technology

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

It’s perhaps every human’s desire to have control over certain unwanted aspects of their lifestyles. These can be habits that are core rooted in on an individual’s mind set ups; these habits could be addictions to some harmful or embarrassing addictions. It’s very hard for an individual to break free from addiction or any other kind of mental disorder. More often than not patients who suffer from addictions will seek help from medical professionals and even specialists to get to the root of these addictions. One of the offered remedies to curb addictions is the use of deep brain stimulation for brain transformation.

Qualified practitioners will often offer diverse remedies to individuals suffering from mental disorders. Most of them will administer antidepressants for stress related mental complications. These drugs work by stimulating neurotransmitters to cover a specific strain or brain problem. Dopamine and serotonin stimulating antidepressant are the widely administered drugs by medical practitioners, who suffer from stress and addiction related problems.

However, this does not solve the root problem; the brain does not learn or trained to heal this way. For better elaboration, the brain evolves through a series of learning process. This enables it to think and act or react from past experiences. Introducing drugs or any form of hypnosis technique to cure mental health complication is effective, but for some short span of time. One will need to have a transformed mind to alleviate some of these mental issues.

Drugs also carry high risks of side effects; these side effects may materialize as the patient stops using the drugs. Due to the nature of the antidepressant drugs it’s very likely for a patient to become addicted to them. There are other remedies that need no therapy or the common drugs administered to by physicians. These methods are side effect free and 100 percent effective. The use of brainwave technology is very efficient for mind evolution.

Brainwave technology is one effective way to curb mental health problems. Listening to brainwave MP3s rejuvenates the mind, spirit and soul. The act of refreshing the mind further causes it to develop in a more positive manner. This result causes an individual to think rationally, which is very crucial in undertaking day to day activities. Brainwave technology products are made in such a way that they communicate to the subconscious mind. By so doing the mind slips into different conscious states, helping it to heal and rejuvenate through positive messages.

Brainwave technology products such as the binaural beat are very effective to people who are caught in different addictive activities. The continual use brainwave entrainment guarantees mind transformation, which is important for personal improvement. Deep brain wave technology can only be attained by brainwave sounds that entwine with the mind to bring about different conscious states.

Brainwave technology products are readily available on the internet. Deep brain stimulation is highly recommended to individuals interested in self development. These products information are readily available on the internet, an individual is bound to get free Brainwave entrainment with good internet search on the subject.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

It’s now being widely appreciated that binaural beats and brainwave entrainment can be quite dramatically life-enhancing. Many in the scientific community are now of the opinion that binaural beats, monaural beats and isochronic tones can influence brainwave frequencies to “mimic” neurological activity associated with states such as increased mental clarity, relaxation, improved sleep ability and dream memory and concentration among other things.

Using headphones and an inexpensive CD or mp3, binaural beats can be used to mimic or entrain your brainwave frequencies in such a way that if, for example, you were having ongoing difficulty with concentration, you’d simply listen to binaural beats within the alpha brainwave frequency (8 – 12Hz), which is the frequency most associated with relaxed alertness, creativity and heightened concentration and focus ability.

Serious academic and scientific scrutiny of brainwave entrainment techniques began to take off in the 1970’s, when an article in a scientific journal posited that brainwave frequencies could be synchronized in such a way that certain beneficial mental states could be mimicked through the altered neurological activity.

Robert Monroe (1915-1995), an executive with a media background, became interested by this and created a research facility to investigate brainwave synchronization in more depth. This research eventually led to the conclusion that it was actually the case that specific sound patterns – beats – could influence brainwave frequencies which could in turn mimic neurological activity associated with, for example, relaxation, improved sleep ability, heightened concentration, creativity and so on.

Monroe subsequently registered his first patent which was designed to do this in a convenient and user friendly way, thereby introducing to the public the first basic binaural beats technology.

Of course refinements and add ons have been introduced since then, but the binaural and monaural beats and isochronic tones used today first emerged in their original form from the Monroe Institute’s research.

Some people are uneasy about the idea that there could be a “short cut” to creating mental states that could otherwise require adherence to practices such as self hypnosis or meditation, while others see binaural beats as a means of supplementing the benefits they receive from the meditative practices or self hypnosis that they already undertake.

Of the three most widely used brainwave synchronization methods available, binaural beats, monaural beats and isochronic tones, binaurals are probably the best known, though for different reasons some people prefer one or the other.

Binaurals involve using two different sound frequencies, each played into each ear through headphones. The brain detects or recognizes the difference between the two frequencies and a third frequency is created, and it is this which entrains the brainwave to create the neurological state necessary to ultimately induce feelings of relaxation, alertness or whichever state a specific brainwave frequency is known to mimic.

So let’s say that a tone of 300Hz is played into the right ear and a tone of 310Hz is played into the left ear. The brain then detects the comparison between the tones and a third subsonic beat of 10Hz is created in the brain. This frequency – 10Hz – is within the alpha range, which is associated with heightened concentration, alertness, creativity and other beneficial states.

There are also other brainwave frequencies which can be created using binaural beats, namely beta, delta, theta and gamma, which mimic the various neurological activities related to improved sleep ability, stress relief and other states.

Please note that anyone using a pacemaker, or who has epilepsy, or who is pregnant, is advised to consult a medical health professional before using brainwave entrainment methods.

Brainwave Entrainment Stress Relieving Medicines May Complicate Your Pets Conditions Further Leading To Even Death

It’s not that only humans suffer from stress and develop stress related illness. Animals too suffer from stress. We often remain oblivious to the fact that pets also suffer from stress. Being extremely sensitive to their surrounding, pets are known to develop emotional bonding with their owners (especially dogs) as well as fellow pets and any change in the environment triggers ‘change’ related stress in the same ways as it triggers stress in humans.

Stress usually is a response to stimuli involving situations that we consider to be threatening, depressing or out of control. The same is true for your dog. The animals respond by “fight or flight” method when threatened or frightened. During the “flight or fight” response, a complex series of chemical reactions and changes occurs in the nervous system of the body.

Sometimes, the “fight or flight” response doesn’t work, and the animal becomes very irritated or upset, then it may adopt the “conservation-withdrawal” response. This response is initiated by the hippocampus (part of the brain), which then signals the hypothalamus leading to release of chemicals that stimulate the pituitary gland to produces a compound. This compound in turn activates the adrenal cortex to release corticosteroids which calm the nerves.

Long-term corticosteroid release suppresses the immune system, which makes your pet highly prone to diseases. The stomach is stimulated to release acids by the corticosteroids, which can lead to peptic ulcers. Both the “fight or flight” response and “conservation-withdrawal” tend to physically tax the animal leading to disruption of normal metabolism, growth, reproduction, and immune function, and can also cause an animal to self-mutilate. Other physiological events that occur are a decrease in heart rate, sometimes to the point of stopping completely and loss of appetite. Your pet may ultimately die “for no apparent reason.”

Conditions such as infection, being kenneled, travel, breeding, separation from owner, shifting, addition or loss of a family member or another household pet, can cause stress in animals. In such cases, you dog can become extremely bored or show symptoms of severe stress such as fear, uneasiness and restiveness.

Dogs under stress can become violent, stop eating or overeat, become hypersensitive, bark incessantly, become hyperactive, destroy things or move objects in and around the household and resort to nervous licking or chewing of their own bodies. They can develop diarrhea, lose hair, develop mushrooming parasite populations, and their immune system can just disintegrate. What’s more disturbing is that stress can be a cumulative process. Each stressor by itself may not be significant and may seem apparently harmless, but when they affect your pet sequentially or simultaneously, they may push it over the threshold toward illness or death.

Stress Relieving Medicines

Dogs can be administered Stress Relievers to calm them. Some of these stress relievers claim to promote a sense of calm in animals exhibiting fear, fretting, anxiety or any unwanted behavior. But these medicines can also have certain risks and side effects. They can have toxins and induce drowsiness in your dog. These medicines may make your dog prone to reactions, drug interactions or adverse effects and are considered to be unsafe, inappropriate or completely ineffective.

These stress relievers are only meant to control short-term behavioral stress and anxiety and can be very detrimental to the pet’s health if administered on a long-term basis, even leading to death.

The Ultimate Remedy: PET-MUSIC

It has long been stated that music calms the savage beast and now with research to support that adage, you may be able to overcome stress or anxiety your own pet experiences. There are a variety of remedies to alleviate the stress your pet feels, and none may be more enjoyable for you and your pet than some soothing music. There is pet music to specifically provide a soothing soundtrack to lessen the stress of your pet and increase the positive brainwaves that elicit feelings of well being keeping them in good spirits.

Music therapy has revolutionized the way we can alleviate stress and anxiety in pets. It is safe with absolutely no side effects. This therapy employs music to untangle the knotted and stressed out nerves and brain, relaxing the mind-body as a whole. This music therapy is a method of beneficially recharging the cortex of the brain and distributing the latent energy throughout the nervous system of your pet. Usually, the effect of therapeutic music upon your pet is one of vitalizing, harmonizing and healing at almost every level of being. Music therapy is one of the most preferred techniques for relieving negative effects of stress.

Modern therapeutic science says that music has a massaging effect on our brain. Perhaps, that is the primary reason for widespread usage of music as anti-anxiety and antidepressant therapy and the handiest tool for relaxation when it comes to calming pets. helping ease depression, and aiding recovery from illness.

It’s not so much about a specific day in December in 2012, and it certainly isn’t about the extermination of life and everything as we know it.

It’s about the raising of a state of consciousness, from the physical third dimension or 3D to the soul-awareness fourth dimension or 4D, for you as an individual, and for creation as a whole.

Awakening is occurring on an individual basis already, and it is being reflected in the Unified Field or the Field of Consciousness-meaning it is happening in everything and everyone. Weather systems are changing, the Earth is shifting, spirituality is coming out of the closet, and people are changing the way they think.

We are all made of the same energy, vibrating at different frequencies. Even though it seems that we are separate from one another and that we couldn’t possibly share a consciousness with a tree, a rock or the guy next door… it is all an illusion. On face value, the third dimension is divorced from fourth dimension awareness, and sees only the physical. In reality, there is no separation between you as an individual and everything else. We all share the same energy.

How awakening affects, you depends on where you are starting from-consciousness-wise.

Some of us were born already aware of our connection to the fourth dimension, which is a state of consciousness, not a physical place. We have to work hard to feel comfortable in the third dimension. We feel like we are just visiting and are not necessarily accepted here. We may appear odd to a strictly third dimensional person.

And then, some of us were born totally grounded in the third dimensional world and feel at home here. Unfortunately, we may feel cut off from the higher realms or may not even believe in a Higher Self or anything else that is beyond what we can see, taste, feel, hear, and smell.

Your starting point will greatly dictate your experience of “waking up.”

You are transcending 3D consciousness.

The aim or purpose of “waking up” is to evolve, spiritually, from third dimensional consciousness into fourth and then fifth dimensional consciousness.

Third dimensional consciousness is physical awareness, of yourself, and the environment around you, that you experience with your all of your five senses. Both negativity and positivity exist together on this plane. Fear and fixation in the external, are symptoms of this consciousness. When living totally in the third dimension alone, you see yourself as being separate from everyone, which perpetuates fear, especially concerning death.

Fourth dimensional consciousness is soul awareness and timelessness, spacelessness, and energy. You experience life in the flow. You are conscious of eternity. Past, present, and future all exist together in the “now,” and everything is here… NOW. You know you are not ever going to not exist-the energy of your being will never die. Everything exists as an energy form in 4D. You are aware of your higher self and how it spiritually guides you.

Fifth dimensional consciousness is the dimension where you go when you pass on from physical life or, while still being in a 3D body, is an even more enlightened state of consciousness than being in the fourth dimension. It is here that you realize that everyone is sacred and that the power is in each moment. You are living as your Higher Self, you soul actualized in your physical existence. 5D is where you recognize that you can create your reality and do so, with intention, immediately. Fifth dimensional existence means unity, love, co-creation, and gratitude… all of the highest of frequencies. Jesus Christ and Buddha are examples of a fifth dimensional consciousness person.

Fourth Dimensional Consciousness in a Third Dimensional Body

Fourth dimensional existence means choice, “being in the now,” and focus, the realm of ideas, and the world of imagination, where you can make things happen. This is the dimension where you can astral travel and communicate with your Higher Self, deceased loved ones, and the Divine Intelligence. It is here that you become aware of the soul. Love is expressed in this dimension. Intention is how you navigate this realm.

Time is different when you are in this state. It is more fluid, your perception of past, present and future changes. You feel more part of the “whole,” while still keeping your individual identity. You feel connected to humanity and the clouds in the sky and the trees on the hill. You begin to feel the Divine moving through you and know you, and everyone else, are part of this intelligence.

4D holds the awareness of the first and second dimensional components of your existence as well as your past experiences in this life and any other 3D life you have lived in the past.

Things You Can Do To Awaken

· Spiritual practices like Reiki, prayer, Ho’oponopono, yoga, brainwave entrainment meditation, meditation, Shamanic Journeying, all of which will raise your vibrational frequency and transition you into a higher state of consciousness.

· Make a conscious effort to remember your dreams, because most of them will be communications from the higher dimensions. We all travel to higher realms, when we sleep, but few of us remember doing so.

· Wake up. Stop sleep walking through your life’s experiences. Feel things. Really allow yourself the intensity of the experience. Live your experiences-being in the “now” is one way to do that.

· Look for your soul’s intention behind every experience and see what it is you are trying to learn. When you encounter problems, realize they are your subconscious mind’s way of bringing awareness to blockages that need to be released, that you may have in your own personal programming.

Fourth dimensional consciousness will turn the clock back and rejuvenate you and your body. Colours will be brighter, tastes will be profound, you’ll appreciate your fellow mankind, and you will easily manifest what you desire.

Fourth dimensional consciousness in a third dimensional body allows you the best of both worlds.

It’s not always easy to change how you’re thinking, change your brain waves on your own… too many distractions. I don’t know about you but I can tend to be lazy and stubborn. I like the easiest and fastest way of doing things. That’s why when I discovered brain wave entrainment, I was one happy camper. All I do is put on a set of headphones, put on a brain wave mp3, shut my eyes and just listen. My brain then resonates with program I’ve chosen. Easy. The mp3 does all the work. And it doesn’t matter what brain wave entrainment program I’ve chosen. I always feel rested and rejuvenated afterwards.

Anyway, here are the 12 ways brain wave entrainment can make your life easier.

1. When you want something stronger than coffee to wake you up and energize you like the busy bunny in those commercials, and that doesn’t give you heartburn… or the trots (some people can thread a needle after a cup or two)… brain wave entrainment will wake you up and put you on alert.

2. When you’ve thrown away your cigarettes for a cleaner life, but its Saturday night at the club and everybody’s blowing smoke in your face… (and you like it)… and you don’t want to go down that road again… entrainment can help you put on a shield for the night, just like you put on your good pair of shoes.

3. When you’re heavy into the second stage of labour and it feels like the creature from “Alien” is trying to break through your belly button… and you’d like be somewhere else, like floating on a cloud or something… a specialized sessions in isochronic tones or binaural beats, will take you up and away.

4. When you have to write an article on the best way to clean a litter box… and you need a little inspiration… brainwave entrainment will call out the muse.

5. When your grandma’s on her deathbed and the rest of the family is afraid to stay with her and you don’t want her to be alone… a session in isochronic tones can calm you both down and maybe even let you share some of what she is experiencing while she makes her transition. It may even help take away that fear of death.

6. When your husband has betrayed you with your best friend, and you just don’t know how to go on… but you have to go on… brain wave entrainment can help you forgive… yes them, but more importantly, you, so you can go on to a better life.

7. When you’re so tired of what you do for a living and you know there must be something better for you… a session will help you find the purpose of your life.

8. When you have chronic pain, every joint in your body screaming for attention, and nothing seems to help… synchronizing your brain waves can take the edge off.

9. When you can’t sleep, and you’re a 50 year old woman, and the blankets are sticking to your skin, and you don’t know who you are anymore… a brain wave mp3 will rebalance your hormones and emotions and help you find yourself again.

10. When the people in your group at work aren’t following your leadership, and they need to or else you’re out of a job… being in the right frequency will put you back out front and center and help you take back your control.

11. When all you’ve been attracting is losers and guys who pick their nose… changing your brain wave will change your vibration, tune you up, and re-align you with the winners that are out there waiting for you.

12. When the call of the “french fry” has you come a runnin’… brain synchronization will knock it down and help you kick it to the curb, making you stronger everyday.

It’s no secret. Meditation is becoming the most well known practices for improving your life, improving your health, raising your IQ level, and becoming a conscious human being on a never ending path of personal development. More and more scientist are agreeing that the benefits of meditation are enormous and doctors around the globe are recommending it to their patients. But with all of these new scientific findings and old philosophies telling us the power of meditation, why isn’t everyone doing it? If you’ve ever attempted to try it out then you already know the answer to that.

Practicing meditation requires dedication, patience, determination, and a passion to keep doing it without giving up. Especially in the beginning. In this fast-pace-day-and-age our minds are use to constantly thinking, our bodies are used to constant stress, and our obligations make it seem like we can never find time. But trust me, once you find the time and master meditation, you will wonder how you ever got by without it.

More than 90% of people that want to practice meditation and implement it into their daily lives fail. And they fail miserably. Despite what you may have heard, it’s is extremely difficult to master. With technology always keeping us entertained, sitting still and trying to think of nothing is the exact opposite thing we’ve done since childhood. Yet it’s the exact thing we should be doing. Most of the stress, worries, hardships, struggles, and problems in life will vanish when you begin to meditate.

So obviously the benefits of meditation out weighs the difficulties of trying to master it. The only problem is that very few people actually have the patience even though they know the rewards. Once mastered, meditation is the most profound and euphoric experience that one can have. But before, it’s one of the dullest and boring experiences one can have.

But imagine if there was a way for anyone to reach the deep tranquil levels that only people with years of experience are able to reach. Then beginners will know and experience a true meditation giving them the motivation to keep going. Well there are scientifically researched and proven audios called binaural beats that are designed to entrain your brainwaves to whichever effect you like. Meditation binaural beats are designed to take your brainwaves down to the deep levels of zen that were only once obtainable after years of dedication.

Binaural Beats play two tones in each ear and the difference between the two tones creates what is called a ‘binaural beat.’ By changing the different frequencies in each ear, these recordings are able to influence your brainwave patterns giving you amazing capabilities. It sounds dangerous but these brainwave patterns are nothing different than what we experience every single time we go to sleep. They are the most powerful frequencies of the human mind but the only problem is that we can never access them because we are sleeping. Now with the creation of binaural beats scientists have overcome this problem allowing individuals to truly reach their full potential and operate at their highest potential.

So if you have been wanting to try out meditation, or you already have and gave up, then binaural beats are the only way to go. Meditation will change your life and these powerful tools make it much simpler to do it, Binaural beats will open you up to a whole new world you never imagined existed.

It’s no secret that meditation has many benefits and it’s not a new kid on the block.

For hundreds of years, if not thousands, meditation has been practiced daily, in just about every culture of the world, to achieve a no mind state of consciousness, where the brain releases chemicals to enhance health physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Meditation is a process that enables a person to communicate between you and your mind and your mind and your body.

If meditation can reverse damages done to the mind and brain, and stimulate areas of the brain that are not being used, it stands to reason that meditation can help with the symptoms of dementia.

A new study from the University of Pennsylvania, has confirmed that daily meditation can improve cognitive function. Cognitive function, is an intellectual process by which one becomes aware of, perceives, or comprehends ideas. This involves aspects of perception, thinking, reasoning, and remembering… all functions that are impaired in dementia patients.

In this study, subjects were taught how to meditate using Kundalini Yoga and were told to meditate 12 minutes a day for a period of eight weeks.

Kundalini yoga meditation involves the chanting of sounds, or words, in a repeating rhythm, to redirect the flow of thoughts, altering the brain’s normal patterns, neural chemistry, and emotional balance.

After the eight weeks, SPECT scans showed a significant increase in blood flow to the area of the brain that deteriorates in people with Alzheimer’s disease-the area associated with learning and memory.

“If this kind of meditation is helping patients with memory loss, we are encouraged by the prospects that daily practice may even prevent neurodegenative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.” Andrew Newberg, M.D.

Meditation, any kind of meditation, is not a skill that is easily acquired, and is especially difficult in people who have damaged areas in their brain.

Brainwave entrainment is a powerful, fast and efficient form of technology, that uses audio and/or visual pulses, to engage the brain into a specific pattern. Using specially designed recordings, while attempting a meditative state, can hasten the effect. Entrainment stimulates the brain to alter its dominant brainwave frequency to a precise brainwave that improves cognitive function.

Practicing Kundalini meditation, with a brainwave entrainment recording, will carve new neural pathways in the brain, those of which can be seen physically, on a brain scan. New neural networks form in the gray matter, waking up areas of the brain that are not being used to the best of their ability and enhances the damaged areas. Memories, made through the course of the day, have a new place to be stored, by-passing the damaged areas that used to store memories.

It’s very exciting to think that dementia symptoms can be diminished or maybe even eliminated, just by changing the way the brain stores memories.

Brainwave entrainment is a technology that can speed up the ability to achieve a meditative state, which in turn speeds up the receiving of cognitive benefits.

It’s hard to convey how binaural beats work without actually listening to them yourself so I am going to give you my story on how binaural beats have helped shape my life. I first discovered binaural beats back in 1996 when I heard a CD I borrowed from a friend. I had a lot going in my life at that time and was looking for a way to relax. I had tried meditation and had even gone to the introductory lesson on transcendental meditation, that’s how committed I was to learning to relax more. I didn’t sign up for the full classes for TM as I thought it was a bit of a rip off and I didn’t really bond with the instructor. So I tried these binaural beats as a way to relax. I was also smoking hash quite a bit as a way to relax and as a way to altered states of mind, but found I couldn’t really function when smoking hash although I liked the altered states I would go into with hash.

Within a few days I was starting to notice a marked difference in my ability to stay calm in stressful situations. I also noticed I was getting a better nights sleep and was more refreshed in the mornings. I listened to the CD in the morning and again in the evening. I began cutting down on the amount I was smoking.

I then had the confidence to sign up for a degree course in psychology in 2007.

I listened to them for a few months and I was feeling great, my confidence was very high, my demeanor had changed from a bit manic to calm and relaxed and friends and family were starting to notice. I had stopped listening to the CD and was still smoking hash when it became apparent that I would not finish the course if I continued smoking and looked again at binaural beats as a way to relax and stop smoking hash altogether. I stopped smoking around late 1998 and used binaural beats as a way to reach altered states and go to that creative place in my mind to write my essays for the degree course.

It was around this time I became interested in Lucid dreaming and astral projection and found out as much as I could about the brainwave patterns of lucid dreamers. I even wrote a paper on lucid dreaming as part of my degree in psychology. I found out the brainwave patterns of lucid dreamers and wanted to emulate them so I could have lucid dreams myself. It was binaural beats that was to help me have my first lucid dream and all my subsequent lucid dreams. I remember the feeling of exhilaration after my first lucid dream and I loved it and practiced lucid dreaming with the help of binaural beats for a few years. I then tried Astral projection and had a few out of body experiences but nothing to write home about.

Fast forward a few years and I had stopped using binaural beats as my life was going well although I was still interested in them from an academic point of view and still did a lot of research. I had gained my degree and had been bitten by the research bug, I love doing research.

In 2005 I came back to binaural beats after having found some great downloads and some great software to create my own binaural sounds. I experimented for a few years and eventually had a great collection of downloads which I used for myself to help with relaxation, creativity, energy and to help me study. I gave a loan of my creations to a few friends and family and they loved them and advised I should market them. I never did but continue to used them myself and give them out.

Then in 2007 I bought a few downloads from the net and was shocked at the bad quality of binaural beats that were out there, it was very hit and miss whether I was going to get a good one or not. That’s when I decided to market my own creations and 2008 has seen me release 3 products with more on the way.

Although I have used binaural beats for relaxation, creativity, energy, lucid dreaming and astral projection there is a multitude of things they can be used for.

It’s good that you want to know about astral projection techniques. Astral projection is one out of very few forms of art that connects you with your deeper sense of spirituality.

The benefit that experts have got is a clear sense of direction in their life and a deep feeling of joy, love and peace. It is the promise of this great satisfaction that leads many people to try and experience their first out of body experience.

However, the problem that many people encounter along the way is they don’t know where to start. What do you need to be able to separate from your physical self? What are the best or the fastest techniques for beginners?

In the following paragraphs, I have compiled a step by step exercise of the most favorite and popular astral projection technique to help you get your first out of body experience.

How long does it take to learn astral projection?

The first attitude you need to be successful in this effort is to be patient.

According to one expert, “Voluntary out of body experiences take time and practice since everybody has different levels of natural ability and skill”. In other words, there is no fixed duration.

Remember this as you try the exercises below – don’t feel guilty if you don’t immediately get results. This is a technique that requires conscious control of a power within you that doesn’t come naturally. Therefore you should be calm and take your time when doing the exercises.

Another good reason to remain calm and at ease when practicing astral projection is you won’t be able to achieve progress otherwise!

Your brain must be in a very calm and relaxed state – the same state it is in when you are sleeping. If you try to rush the process, it will only further sabotage your efforts to find peace.

It’s also important to understand that there is no “one technique to rule them all”. Since every person has different personalities and beliefs, one method may work better for you than others.

Once you know all these attitudes to keep, you are ready to do your first astral projection exercise.

The most popular astral projection technique

Contrary to what you may think, out of body experiences can be quite common. Reports confirm that one out of ten people is likely to experience astral projection, whether voluntarily or not. So if you’re that one person out of ten, then consider yourself blessed.

For the other nine though, you will want to learn conscious methods to achieve that transcendent spiritual state. Many people have reported success using the method by Robert Monroe, which is comprised of these 4 steps below:

1. Relaxation. It’s recommended that you do this while you are falling asleep. As you become relaxed and start drifting off, try to hold your mental attention to an image. At first you will doze off to sleep, but with practice you will be able to hold your attention and remain aware.

2. State of Vibration. In this step, you focus on a spot about 10 inches from your forehead, with your eyes closed. You then move this spot to six feet away, and turn it 90 degrees until it is above your forehead. The purpose is to find a rhythmic pulsation, and pull it back to you.

3. Control of Vibrations. Take the vibration you found in the second step, and try to push them along your entire body. Starting from your head, move the vibrations down to your arms and feet and then back up again. Repeat this cycle until you can smoothly move it up and down.

4. Separation Process. This is where you start to separate from your physical self. Imagine you are using your arm to reach for an object. This object has to be at the same height and direction as your arm is already facing. If you can feel the object with your imaginary arm, then you have succeeded in separating.

As you can see, the process is not an overnight success – just getting through the first step will require some practice until you can do it consistently.

One tool you can use that might help “speed up” your first astral projection is acoustic brainwave activation.

Acoustic brainwave activation are a special type of sound wave designed to induce your brain to enter a specific wave length. These sounds are closely related to your sleep cycle and the brainwaves involved, also known as alpha, theta, and delta brainwaves.

By using these special sounds, you can get “training wheels” that support you to achieve your out of body experience until you are ready to fly on your own.

Use the step by step astral projection technique I have listed above – and compliment with acoustic brainwave activation if you need to!

It’s generally known that over reliance on sleeping pills can have various side effects such as drowsiness, etc. Another concern is that you can develop a particular dependency on the pills – effectively unabling you to sleep without them.

This is where Yoga comes in. Yoga is, among other things, a natural method to promote deep sleep. Practicing Yoga has numerous other benefits as well, in addition to making you more relaxed when you you’re ready to hit the hay.

Some of the many benefits of Yoga are the reduction of muscle tension and the slowing down of your heart rate, both of each directly results in deeper sleep. A recent study published by the JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) discovered that participants who embraced specific breathing techniques preached by Yoga substantially improved their ability to fall asleep compared to those who took sleep-inducing drugs.

Yoga is also known to manage stress levels and minimize weight gain. Someone who’s insomnia is caused due to the effects of anxiety, stress, and other worries can definitely benefit from Yoga. The basics of Yoga, which are deep breather, acceptance, and body awareness relax the mind by slowing down our active brainwaves, therefore, achieving restful sleep.

Yoga originated from India which means “union”. We can think of this union as a connecting among the mind, body and spirit. People in India mainly use Yoga as a way to worship their gods, as well as conditioning the body and mind. And that’s exactly the function of Yoga: to connect various parts of the body together is a peaceful union.

Yoga is meant for everyone, regardless of each individual body’s limitations. If you think Yoga poses are not fit for your age, do not worry because it can be modified to match the person’s physical strength and age. Using correct breathing patterns, stretching goes a long way of calming the body and mind thus achieving you to fall asleep fast.

Although Yoga is meant for everyone, it is important to note that if you are new to Yoga, seek guidance of a professional Yoga instructor first. You do not need to take expensive Yoga classes since there are a lot of instructional Yoga DVDs that have quality Yoga instruction that you can do at the comfort of your home. Practice Yoga for an hour to at least 30 minutes before going to bed and skip that sleeping pill.
