Defense Secretary Robert Gates was recently questioned about the future of nuclear program in the USA. He responded with low-key urgency by saying we have a serious “brain drain” in our country and suggested that the future of our nuclear secrets is unclear. I am sure all of our savvy, internet enemies with an ear to the global information highway, got an excited shiver up their spines after hearing that prediction, donned their suicide packs and purchased one way airline tickets to the USA! That’s a 3:00 am worry!

Many respected financial gurus of our day say there is no doubt we are in a Recession. The only question unanswered at this time is how deep and murky that Recession will get. However, the White House and all the houses that form that thick moat of undigested information surrounding our White Castle deny that we are in a Recession. That’s a 3:00 am worry!

Whether we are smart enough to protect our own nuclear technology or whether we are in a Recession or not, it’s enough to wake anyone at 3:00 am and have them tossing and turning even before the dripping faucet registers! It’s enough to cause stomachs to churn with anxiety and necks to ache with stress when eyes should be deep in R.E.M.! I don’t know anyone who wants their stomach to churn with anxiety and their neck to ache with stress (I have experienced both). I don’t know anyone who wants to endure a Recession. And I don’t know anyone who wants to see their own nuclear technology used against them because we aren’t smart enough to hide our secrets! Few folks want to worry themselves sick. Anyway, should it happen there isn’t much I can do about it! I am about as well versed in nuclear technology as I am in halting a Recession. All I know to do is lock the door and hide my wallet! I really do hope the seed we spawned understands the stakes here. We are in a war – on multiple home fronts and abroad! That’s a 3:00 am worry!

Many time I have been rudely awakened at 3:00 am, shaken really, with a recurring theme, a rotating banner crawling through my head asking things like, “What if I can’t make the mortgage? What if I lose my job? What if the Recession That Isn’t – Is? What if the Depression That Can’t – Does?” I have read that a Depression is not part of the equation today since our banking system is far more solid in their cash holdings than they were in the Great Depression of the 1920’s. Banks lost 25% of their holdings back then as depositors panicked and withdrew their cash. This knowledge has comforted me a bit. But like a ticker-tape of real concerns racing across my forehead, it’s 3:00 am and I want to worry about all the mess we are creating. What can I do about our shrinking freedoms? Will Homeland Security begin to feel like a warm, down comforter in the coming years? Are we paying attention as our youth intercept a lethal, nuclear football in this eternal game of life or death to the planet? Are they paying attention? Do they realize that if they fumble, the game will be over for everyone – forever? Can we realistically expect them to care about all this cloak ‘n dagger that began before they were even born? That’s a 3:00 am worry!

I watched 60 Minutes last night. Our human brains can now communicate with a computer! We can make objects move by thinking about the action! We can write words and sentences and paragraphs and papers and books by thinking about the letters! This is one for evolution! And, yet, this low-key, science fiction, evolutionary leap made its debut by illuminating through the pixels of my flat screened TV as soft and unobtrusive as a butterfly on a rose petal, landing atop a gigantic earthy basin heaped with unconsumed data; a soft landing of Evolution Spectacular on a patchwork of dribble and drobble and downright genius, this marvel was gently whispered into the dulled ear of planet earth. It was clearly puppy-like enthusiasm that danced in the eyes of the research scientist behind this amazing evolutionary leap! He had a pearl of great price in the palm of his human hand; a secret key that unlocked the door to universes beyond; a bargaining chip, an ace in hand, defying all previous schemes ever composed or that nature ever intended toward a realized outcome of our unique purpose and reason for being. Even the journalist in charge of this preview was clearly awed!

This is not the first time brainwave technology has been used toward the advancement of the human mind. Brainwave technology has fascinated researchers for decades. I learned a fact in 1985, used it often, and then forgot I knew it.

Okay, I didn’t actually forget it; after a while I just forgot to recall that I knew it AND forgot about the positive experiences it creates when used deliberately and consistently. I think a lot of us do that: Learn something really beneficial and effective, use it a while, then shelf it when we get busy and we think we Just Don’t Have the Time. But best results happen only if we make the time.

If you do affirmations or visualizations while your brainwave frequencies are in the Beta range (15 cycles per second or higher), you’re in the Ego-Logic Brain State (Left Brain). Basically, you’re talking to yourself. If you want to communicate and do your most productive “work” in the creation field, you have to be in the Alpha brainwave frequency or below (14 cycles per second or lower). • Start to fall asleep

CIRCUITRY

Brain circuits used most often are trained to be the ones traveled with the least resistance. We build these very real neural pathways with our thoughts.
