Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

We all know meditation is good for us and we know the many benefits it can bring such as: lower blood pressure, feeling less stressed, inner calmness, and a sense of being in total control in every situation.
What we are not told is that meditation can be hard work and it can take years to reach a deep state of meditation. There are so many forms of meditation around it’s hard to decide which path to follow.
What you’ve got to ask yourself is what is your goal of meditation.
What is your goal?
is it to follow a particular path?
Is it to feel inner calm?
Is to to feel less stressed in life?
Is it to follow a religion?
Once you figure out what your goal is the next step will be easier.
Most people want to try meditation to begin feeling less stressed in their lives and to feel calm which has massive knock on benefits on our health and our bodies.
If you are one of the people who want to try meditation to feel less stressed and feel inner peace and calmness then I have to tell you that meditation has never been easier.
How to meditate
Sit or lie down in a quiet room by yourself for at least twenty minutes. Close your eyes and just sit. That’s it, just sit and try and let your thoughts pass by in your mind without acknowledging them. this can be difficult at first but it becomes much easier with practice and time.
You are also in a hugely fortunate position of being in a digital world and there is one digital download which can dramatically increase your chances of reaching a deep meditative state. They are called Binaural beats and they have been scientifically proven to help with a wide range of health problems. the biggest benefit is that you can reach a deep meditative state within a matter of minutes, no need to practice for months, you brainwaves will reach the meditative state within 8 minutes flat and that’s not a lie.
I have been using binaural beats for years and without them I would not enjoy the benefits of meditation and would not be as healthy both mentally and physically.
Technology is a wonderful thing and perhaps the biggest digital benefit is binaural beats.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.
This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.
On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.
Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.
THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.
While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.
We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.
If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.
