Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Your brain works non-stop. Your brain is your body’s center of command. Anything that your body does, is monitored and controlled by your brain. It is definitely the most amazing and elaborate organ in your body, and neurologists are only starting to figure it out.
For what it’s worth, scientists are verifying what oriental wisdom has preached for millennia. Namely, that mastering your mind is key to mastering your destiny. While yogi masters achieve that after a lifetime of meditation and study, neuroscientists have devised ways with which you can dramatically shorten the process.
This is possible because scientists discovered that our brain is permanently emitting brainwaves, electrical impulses that neurons produce when they communicate with each other. What’s really interesting about brainwaves is that they can be influenced with outside stimuli like sound or light. That is what hypnotists do. To put you in trance, they manipulate your brainwaves so that you reach a state of mind in which you can be influenced the most. Likewise Brain Evolution System is a brainwave entrainment tool that can help you access your most productive states of consciousness at will.
Neurologists have identified five different brainwave frequencies: Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and Gamma. Each one is associated with a unique state of awareness. Brainwave frequency is measured in Hertz (Hz), or cycles per second. The lower the brainwave frequency, the more relaxed you will be.
Beta (14-40Hz). These are normally present during your waking hours, when your mind is engaged in your daily activities, highly alert and focused. Beta brainwaves are key to properly functioning in everyday life. However, higher Beta frequencies lead to stress and anxiety.
Alpha (7.5-14Hz). Alpha brainwaves are one level below Beta and are associated with light meditation with eyes closed. Alpha enhances your imagination, your memory and your learning, and is ideal for programming your mind for success. It is in the boundary between your conscious awareness and your subconscious mind.
Theta (4-7.5Hz). These are associated with deep meditation and light sleep. Theta is where your subconscious mind reigns supreme. This state of mind is where vivid visualizations are experienced, and where great inspiration and maximum creativity take place.
Delta (0.5-4Hz). Delta is the lowest frequency of them all, and occurs in deep, dreamless sleep. It is also associated with a complete detachment of the body, usually achieved in enlightened meditation. In Delta, your unconscious is king and you can access the Universal mind. Best of all, Delta is related to deep healing and regeneration of the body.
Gamma (above 40Hz). This is the fastest of the brainwave frequencies and the last to be identified. Gamma is connected to sudden insight and high-level information processing.
It is important to understand that all these brainwaves are active in your brain at all times. It just so happens that one of them will dominate over the others and thus be responsible for your state of mental awareness. As you go about your day, you shift from Beta to Alpha to Theta to Delta brainwaves, depending on the task that you are involved in.
You can consciously access your different states of awareness while you are conscious. So you don’t really have to be sleeping for your Delta brainwaves to kick in, for example. Imagine being able to access your desired state of mental awareness, that in which you are at your most creative or at your most receptive. You could effortlessly solve problems, come up with new ideas for your next project, learn faster than before or enjoy limitless energy.
With brainwave entrainment technology you can learn how to shift your dominant brainwave frequency. There are many methods out there, but not one as compelling and powerful as BrainEv, short for Brain Evolution System. It is regarded by experts as the most powerful self development tool on earth. It is a six month audio program that you need to listen for only 30 minutes a day. When you least expect it, you will start seeing astonishing results. And the best part is, you have 21 days to try it out, before you make up your mind and decide that it is right for you.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.
This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.
On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.
Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.
THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.
While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.
We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.
If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.
