Brainwave Entrainment Cerebral Success 101 – Mastering Mind Power Through Brainwave Entrainment

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This is the use of the mind power to create a better you and propel success in things you may get involved in. There is quite a number of mastering mind power techniques should anyone wish to use brainwave entrainment technology. However, it is important to note that brainwave entrainment technology is quite diverse and one needs to have specifics in what they wish to achieve should they engage the power of brainwave entrainment. Cerebral success is relevant to quite a number of achievements which may be achievable through your action and thought setups. Some of the tactics one may incorporate with brainwave entrainment technology is such as:

Positive affirmations
Positive affirmations are very powerful when it comes to brain development acts. Watch what you say every time you speak, remember to be positive at all times, if an individual constantly talks negatively it will affect how you work and is bound to bring failure. It is important to always speak positively of yourself and those around you, always engage in positive talk and you definitely will get successful.

Brainwave entrainment recordings
Individuals can listen to brainwave entrainment tapes and cds to create that winner mind set. This cds are usually packed with positive frequencies that help to tune the mind towards a successful life. The waves will be listened to daily and in the end the mind will be convinced that you can achieve whatever kind of success you are hoping for.

Write your goals
Writing your goals down trains the mind to know exactly what you need to achieve and it is much easier to reach this goals. Writing down goals is a good way to start as the mind will subconsciously pick up the goal and will start working you there.

Hang around positive people
Always try to make sure the people you work around are positive will not derail your efforts for the best. Your friends make you who you are. If you are constantly around friends who do not have goals it’s almost impossible to succeed. Try and find people that can help you reach your goal; hanging around successful people will make you reach there as well. It is also important that you create an overall positive lifestyle; people with negative lifestyles find it hard to make achievements in their lives. Anyone who wish to have success should also abhor any kind of addiction at whatever cost.

When incorporating brainwave entrainment technology in your life, it is very important to seek professional help in case you’re new to the therapy. Finding relevant information about the therapy and how it works is quite crucial when initiating cerebral success. It’s imperative for an individual to find as much information as they can find about brainwave entrainment technology way before they engage in it. Should you be interested in purchasing brainwave entrainment products, then do so from reputable sites which are known to offer quality therapies on brainwave entrainment. Your mind is the main source of achievement, hence mastering your mind power will help you achieve the kind of success you wish in your life.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Brainwave Entrainment The Neurofeedback Experience – Part Two

This is the second part in a series about neurofeedback. I have researched it heavily, seeing all the claims, and potential benefits that can be achieved . The one thing I could not find was a first person account of the process and the resulting benefits gained. I have even seen where clinics are touting enhanced performance for individuals in business, and life in general. If it works, it will be an incredible leap forward for millions of individuals. The idea is to alter the electrical frequencies in the brain, hopefully helping the individual achieve their goals, be it overcoming depression, or even being more successful in life. I have a strong personal reason for doing this, aside from wanting to regain some of the mental prowess I enjoyed in my youth, my father suffers from Parkinson’s disease, so I am on a mission to find whatever I can to make life a little more bearable for him. Two short years ago, he was riding around the lake on his jet ski, today he can’t get in and out of the bathtub. I not only have to find a way to help, I also have to find it very quickly.

I was introduced to neurofeedback by a brilliant counselor I met by the name of Spring Hill, just outside of Houston, Texas. She explained the results that she had personally witnessed during a consultation with me, and I decided to try the program. At our first session she ran a Quantitative Electroencephalograph using nineteen electrodes, this would allow her to determine the problem areas of the brain, and allow her and her team to develop a proper treatment regiment for my particular problems. Our first training session was like something out of a science fiction movie. I had electrodes connected to my ears and skull, with the information being fed into a software program on her computer. There was a separate computer screen in front of me with a video game playing on it, and my job was to stare at the screen and watch the game. It was like training a dog with a cookie, every time my brainwaves went the way she wanted them to, I was rewarded with a beep. The more beeps I could produce, the more the game would progress, and the higher my score in the game would be.

After the first session, I noticed something very dramatic about the way I felt. It took a few minutes for me to decide what was different, and then it dawned on me. I was experiencing an increase in clarity, that is the only word I can think of to accurately describe the sensation. It is not that my eyesight suddenly became better, what changed was the way my brain perceived what my eyes were seeing. This sensation actually lasted for about ninety minutes before it began to wear off. I got almost identical results after the next three treatments. The fifth session is where things happened a little differently, I became so relaxed during the video game, that I couldn’t hold my eyes open. My brain was finally reaching a relaxed state, which Spring told me was a very good thing. The relaxed feeling, mixed with a little bit of increased clarity lasted for about four hours. I am told that it takes about twenty five to thirty sessions for the training to become permanent. I will be doing two more articles covering my progress and the final results from the treatments. I really hope this works, for my father, for myself, and for anyone else who might be able to benefit from it.

Brainwave Entrainment Brainwave Technology – Why There’s No Need to Learn Hypnosis to Change Your Subconscious

This is the difference between the general and specific. Hypnosis is a blunt tool when it comes to mind control and its main strength is opening the mind up and making it more malleable for change. This general approach is why a hypnosis tape won’t work as well as brainwave entrainment technology. There is a hope factor when hypnosis is in the bargain because the messages that are inserted in are inserted into an environment where they may or may not be accepted by the subconscious.

Hypnosis is no guarantee that the mind can be reprogrammed because scientifically speaking, there is a specific frequency that the brain and its neurons must be in so that messages can be effectively placed. Hypnosis does not guarantee this and since most of the time they are done in an uncontrolled environment, there are no readings to be compared against. Brainwave technology is more specific and it identifies and knows the specific states the brain must be in so that certain objectives can be achieved. You just can’t tell the brain to ‘learn more’ or ‘learn this language easily’ when it is in a state of deep relaxation. There should never be a hit and miss philosophy when it comes to the brain and this is why you should use brainwave entrainment technology if you truly need a viable solution for personal improvement.

The brain has about 5 frequency states, ranging from Beta to Delta (Beta, SMR, Alpha, Theta and Delta) and each has a frequency range has a specific use that can be capitalised on. The thing is we go through life in a mismatched state, we learn when our brain is in a state to relax and we work when we are unfocused. We do not use the states even when they match the things we want to do because we do not realise it. A whole load of scientific research has allowed normal people like us to invoke the cerebrum into particular frequencies that we can use. For example, if you have a major paper on the next day, you should fire up the brainwave entrainment technology and induce of Alpha state (8-12Hz) where your accelerated learning capabilities are invoked and you will absorb and analyse information at a level beyond your normal capabilities.

This is the specifics that I am talking about. Brainwave technology targets what you need and when you need it and this is why hypnosis tapes won’t work as well as brainwave entrainment technology. We are comparing a dull instrument to a surgeon’s tools. When you want to pick at the brain would you use a cudgel or a fine tuned instrument? The answer is obvious and thus the answer to this article should be obvious to you. Never rely on a general solution but always find the specialist when it comes to specific targets. Then and only then will you be able to improve your life and better yourself.

This is my third article in my series about meditation and I would like to tell you some more about my history as a student of the self help/new age movement, as well as what I have discovered in my neuroscience study and research. I was actually so inspired writing this that I just kept writing and writing! It became such a big post that I have had to split it into two parts.

I started telling some of my story in a previous article (“What Am I Doing Here?”), and I would like to expand on that a little farther. I hope that my story will motivate you to make the changes necessary in your life so that you can live the life you truly deserve. I can always remember as a child I had a sense of something “out there”, some invisible source that was controlling the events unfolding in the world, the universe. Of course, as a child I had a very limited capacity to understand or express those feelings, but it always stayed with me. My family was not at all religious, I think we only ever went to a church for weddings or funerals, so I never really got to learn about religion or spirituality until I started school, with its scripture classes.

I always found myself watching the spooky stories on television (remember “Great Mysteries of the World”?) or reading them in magazines or newspapers. Ghost stories, UFOs, miracles all appealed to me. If I wasn’t busy playing doctor, or pulling apart mums old electronic equipment, I was reading or watching anything I could on that subject. Thankfully, my mother had her own interest in all things spooky as well, so this was not one of the things that was beaten out of me during my upbringing.

Jump forward to the nineties. As I mentioned previously I had gotten myself stuck in a rut. I think a lot of you will relate to what I’m talking about. My life was going nowhere in a hurry, and I was suffering through bouts of depression, even panic attacks. That’s when I first started to discover more about the mind-body connection. I won’t bore you with the technical details, and I will go a little deeper into it later in this article, but panic attacks are basically an exaggerated reaction to stress.

The same stress response that helps keeps us safe from harm (the “fight or flight response”) goes into overdrive, and for no real reason. Adrenaline pumps, your heart rate increases, and your body prepares to fight or run from the perceived threat (or non existent threat in this case). Its a very scary feeling, you feel like you are dying, or having a heart attack. I actually took myself to the hospital many times thinking just that.

From this I started learning about the mind body connection. Your mind, and how you use it has a huge effect on your body’s functioning. As an example, it is now generally accepted that chronic stress is extremely dangerous, with the potential to cause heart attacks and strokes. Science is now also beginning to realize that it also has links to chronic diseases like cancer. I then started getting deeper into self help material. I read books and attended seminars, and started to practice some of the things I had been learning. Unfortunately, a lot of it simply didn’t sink in, and while I was making some progress in my life, it wasn’t progressing as quickly or successfully as I would have liked.

Then one day a friend of mine started telling me about a CD he had just bought. It had something to do with meditating, which I knew very little about, except that it was really good for you. It had some new technology, called Holosync, that would enable people to achieve incredible meditative states in a matter of minutes. He had been using it for a while and loved it.

Being the cynic and technophile that I am, I had to investigate this new technology. So I went to the website of the company making the CDs, Centerpointe Research Institute. Back then it was the fairly early days of the internet, so Bill had a pretty basic text only site, but there was so much information, testimonials and technical information there. It looked really good. I did more cross checking on the new terms they were using- binaural beats, brainwave entrainment, hemispheric synchronization, and sure enough there was plenty of material that supported what Bill was saying.

Of course people can say anything on the internet. So I eventually tried Holosync for myself. All I can say is WOW!! I’ve already written a little of my experiences with the program, so I won’t go over it again. It hasn’t been all plain sailing, but things have definitely been improving for me ever since. What I do want to tell you about is more about what I discovered during my time at university. You will find that in the next part of this series.

This is an informative, technical piece but it isn’t dry. It is actually quite inspiring because the potential power of this technology is immense and it can bring out the superior mental functions of anyone willing to give it a try. This is called brainwave entrainment technology and it uses sound to invoke the brain into different states – one of which is used for accelerated healing. Once you understand the power of this technology, I am sure you will want to look beyond this article and research as much as you can about this topic. Let me tell you about brainwave entrainment technology – healing with sound.

The brain is made up of neurons and tiny nerves that on a daily basis, produced millions of electronic impulses and chemical reactions within the cerebrum. This is the way that the brain communicates information to all the controlling centres of the brain in the differing lobes – sight, sound, touch, smell and taste. Once you eat anything or touch a surface, electric impulses shoot through the brain – filled with information on its texture, colour, and probability of what material it is based on the knowledge banks. Depending on what we are doing, neurons also react in a non specific way – when we are alert and walking around, neurons fire up a huge amount of electromagnetic impulses and tells the brain that you are wake and these are the faculties that need to be used – and how much to use them.

The secret here is in the range of the frequencies and there are 5 different types of frequency states from Beta to Delta (38Hz – 0.2Hz) and each state has been linked to a sort of superior induction of abilities. A person in Alpha state or in a frequency state of 8 – 12Hz is in a state that has been linked to extreme relaxation, meditation, accelerated learning and a stimulation of the bodies own immune system. Someone in the Theta state (3 – 8Hz) would be considered to be in a state that is ideal for sleep pattern improvement or a state where the creative juices flow. By using an auditory stimulus injected into each ear with a variable frequency beyond normal human range, the hemispheres of the brain and the cortical responses with a frequency state – so we evoke a frequency state by using engineered frequency. The science is exact, which means if we want to be in Theta state, there are specific frequencies we can use to induce it.

This means a breathtaking reality. We are in full control of our brain. Healing has always been associated with the lower frequency states – when we are in deep sleep and constant healing can be a reality. The medical industry has been using the power of biofeedback and autogenics for the exact same results and with the power of sound – the consumer world will be able to enjoy the benefits, just like everyone else.

This is an E.D.A.N. powerful technique. This technique is derived from those basic concepts in NLP and Neurosemantics (Timeline) dan Tony Buzan’s (Zero Mind Process). Ary Ginanjar with his ESQ Leadership referring this as the “1/0” concept. Philosophers, metaphor-ing this as a question “Why there is should be a tiny dot under ‘ba’ in Bismillah?”

Learn this simple bar.

From “0” to “-1” and so on to the left are the collection of negative beliefs. From “0” to “+1” and so on to the right are the collection of positive beliefs.

Someone cannot just jumping from his negative beliefs and then switch to those positive ones, without going through the “0” spot. The “0” spot is the “point of no beliefs”.

If he or she just can get through this point successfully, then he or she will start changing his or her own negative beliefs into positive ones.

That person will change. From one with “I can’t” beliefs into an “I can” person. He or she will turn into a person that has the belief of “There is a way if I just…” from another with the belief of “That is too hard.” So there it goes, for whatever the negative beliefs are.

Never expect that someone will turn into a person with all those positive thinking, positive knowing, positive feeling, and positive doing, without passing through this “point of no beliefs”.

This is why Al-Ghazali or other philosophers, Buddha, or Confucius had taught us about “zero thinking”, “zen” and “nothingness”. This is why the concept of active learning or accelerated learning teaches us about “re-learning” or “un-learning”. This is what Tony Buzan told us about “ZMP aka ZeroMind Process”. This is why Goleman or those mindmasters taught us about “zero feeling”, “meditation”, or “alpha and beta state of brainwaves”. This is why those great teachers teaching us this:

JUST DO IT!

Whatever it is, whatever the feelings are, whatever your thought is telling you, whatever things that cross your mind, as long as that is objectively right and good, just do it.

That, is the only way to start to collect the positive beliefs replacing the old and negative ones. The “0”point is the point where you do something, and just do that without too much distracting by your feeling or your thinking. Focus.

Hopely useful.

This is a review of two non-medicine therapies for insomnia; white sound versus entrainment. This insomnia review aims to help you become aware of the technological advances addressing the problem of insomnia.

White Sound
There are people who complain that they find it hard to sleep in the city but when they go on a vacation to the country or near a beach, they are able to sleep like a baby. Such is the relaxing effect of the sounds of nature. Unfortunately, people cannot bring those sounds back when they return to the city but they can have the second best thing which is white sound or white noise. This refers to sounds that mimic the sounds of nature. The sound is either produced by a machine or it can come recorded on a CD to be played on any standard CD player. Downloadable MP3 audios are available.

White sound comes in many varieties. There are tracks that mimic ocean waves, rain, forest animals, fans and even vacuum cleaners! The options are actually limitless. White sound is a natural alternative or supplement to prescription sleeping pills which may very well be addictive with long-term use; not to mention potential side effects. White sound actually uses one of the most potent sleeping aids available – the sound of nature – and packages it in a portable format. The downside to this product is that not everyone is actually fond of natural sounds, some people find white sound annoying and disturbing.

Always try to sample a white sound CD or MP3 before buying, or be sure there is a money-back guarantee. If you are an insomniac who is not really a nature tripper then you may be better off with another product.

Brainwave Entrainment
If you would rather treat your insomnia in the subconscious level then brainwave entrainment (an accurate, but horrible term) could be more effective for you.

In the 1930s researchers discovered that brain waves could be “entrained” actually synchronized with an external stimulus. At first researchers used flickering light to induce entrainment; later finding that sound was also very effective. Studies continue, each new study shedding more light on the process and its uses. Entrainment is now known to be useful in treating numerous conditions including ADHD, chronic pain, various types of depression and headaches, PMS and, of course, insomnia.

Dr. Gerard Oster published a landmark article in Scientific American in 1972 relating to brain entrainment. In 1981 Dr. Arturo Mans published another notable study showing that certain beats were able to produce brain wave entrainment much more strongly than other beats.

Why isn’t brain wave entrainment more widely known and used for insomnia? After all it can be used inexpensively at home. Perhaps that is the answer. Cheap home remedies, particularly cheap remedies that are purchased only once instead of on a recurring basis, do not make anyone much money.

Like the use of white sound, brainwave entrainment is also safe and does not have any side effects. Neither one requires headphones – distinctively uncomfortable when going to sleep – although both need to be listened to in stereo mode.

If you are not too fond of the sound of chirping birds or of rain fall then you should consider brainwave entrainment instead of white sound. Controlled clinical studies and empirical tracking indicate that brain entrainment is effective in approximately 75% of the insomnia sufferers using it.

This is a question commonly asked by a great number of people, looking to find a solution to problems like anxiety, stress, migraines, or simply exploring various ways to take their meditation practice to a whole new level. Having been skeptical enough to fully research the subject myself, as well as gaining more than seven years of experiential knowledge with brainwave entrainment products, I have meant this article to serve as a starting point for anyone in need of a trustworthy resource in brainwave entrainment research and information.

Let’s make it clear that one’s perception of whether brainwave entrainment works or not can greatly vary, depending on their expectations. Some may have read that brainwave entrainment audios will alleviate pain or anxiety, and others that it is going to bring them to a deep level of relaxation, greatly enhancing their meditation practice. Both statements may be true if we undertake a structured approach to exploring the topic.

Brainwave Entrainment Fundamentals

A common reason of why many people doubt the effects of brainwave entrainment is because the term itself sounds a bit scientific and incomprehensive. That’s why we should look at some real life brain entrainment examples. You are probably asking yourself… What? Yes, the brain is meant to adapt, and it quickly changes its state, according to the surrounding environment. Let’s take a look at this – when one first wakes up in the morning, they still feel rather sleepy (as their brain has been in a state of sleep); if, however, they look out of the window and see a fire burning in the next building, they will become very alert – the brain has quickly entrained itself to this new state. On the contrary, if the same person goes to a room full of sleepy people, it is likely that they will stay in this same state unless they do something different (make a cup of coffee, go out, etc.).

Scientists have found out that all these states of the mind can be measured, as one emanates certain brainwave patterns, easily detected with an EEG (encephalograph). The alpha brainwave patterns are the ones associated with physical and mental relaxation, while beta brainwaves are emitted during our usual state of alertness throughout the day. Theta brainwaves occur in a state of meditation, while delta brainwave patterns are the ones emanated by our brains during deep sleep. All these have the corresponding frequency, measured in pulses per second; i.e. alpha ranges between eight and twelve pulses per second (Hz), beta ranges between twelve and thirty pulses per second, etc.

A Bit of Science

What brainwave entrainment claims to do is that it can, with the help of specifically designed audios (recently visual materials have been introduced, too) bring the brain to one of these specific states (alpha, beta, theta, etc.). Once the brain is brought to that state, the person reaps the benefits associated with it; to illustrate, it has been medically and scientifically proven that deep sleep triggers growth and body healing. It is quite logical, too, as otherwise our bodies would not have been ‘constructed’ with the natural need to fall into sleep for at least a couple of hours every single night. What this all means is that brainwave entrainment does not ‘magically’ make you more relaxed or more creative, or heal your migraine. If you manage to bring yourself to a certain state, without the use of the equipment, then you will definitely reap the benefits, associated with it. Consequently, if you are able to bring yourself to a level of deep meditation without the use of brainwave entrainment, then without doubt you will start seeing the positive changes in your life that this practice offers (we will not go into the details of what these are right now). Of course, just like the need to take your portion of sleep each and every night, you would have to repeat the practice on regular basis in order for it to have any significant effect on you, and same goes for listening to brainwave entrainment audios.

So, does brainwave entrainment really work?

All this being said, the actual question that should be asked here is whether brainwave entrainment audios can truly alter your brainwaves, bringing them to one of the above mentioned states (alpha, theta, etc). Again, with the use of the exact same machine – encephalograph (or simply EEG) – it has been proven that yes, they can. Of course, the efficacy of the different audios varies greatly between producers, but this is a whole different theme to explore. The point of this article is to clearly demonstrate that it has been scientifically and materialistically proven that brainwave entrainment audios can bring one’s brain to a specifically designed state. Consequently, yes, brainwave entrainment does work in the sense that it can bring you to a state associated with deep meditation or deep sleep, which in turn can ensure further benefits such as improved memory, pain relief, and many more (again, you should rather explore the gains associated with the various brainwave patterns).

To wrap it up, brainwave entrainment MP3s offer a modern, practical way for people to experience things that were once only preserved for certain groups of individuals. It is up to the user for these, though, to further research the various audios and products available out there and to clearly set their goals. Different brainwaves produce different results, and this is why products would be designed in various ways, too. Some bring you to alpha, others go all the way down to delta… It is up to you which realms of your brain you wish to explore… So, anyways, how far exactly do you see brainwave entrainment taking you?

This is a little insight to my experience that brought me to Brainwave Entrainment Meditation. Due to a very unpleasant experience in my childhood, I suffered from Chronic Depression and Social Anxiety Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Fun, I know! 😉

I went to traditional therapy to attempt to overcome this. I was placed on various medications that produced even worse side-effects (Insomnia, Muscle Spasm, Loss of Appetite/Sex Drive to name a few!) And after years of this wonderful time, I still felt less than hopeful and was becoming more jaded by the day about ever truly feeling happy and alive.

One day, I decided that I had enough and I would no longer accept this as my day-to-day life. I did a search on the internet and found an amazing program that seemed to be beneficial toward eliminating what I was experiencing using a technology called Brainwave Entrainment in the form of a Meditation Program. Was I skeptical?! OH YES! But, as the saying goes…. “What did I have to lose?” ?? Nothing! I had everything to win and gain.

I began a daily practice of Meditation. I would sit each evening for one hour to focus on my emotional state and become more conscious of my thought processes. I listened to the CD audio that took me from a Beta frequency down to a Delta frequency within the first half hour and then kept me in the Delta state the entire second half hour. As I began this experience, I started to have random thoughts and memories come up that I had no recall of. Things that were deeply planted within my subconscious were coming to the surface of my awareness. I would allow them to be, without judgment, understanding that they had been in my unconscious and were driving the results of my reality. I felt blessed to be able to release them and know with full conviction that they would no longer be working in the background and keeping me from creating what I desired in life.

I kept up with this practice, and still practice, for 6 years now. Though, I didn’t wait for life to happen. Each day was a new and rewarding experience. As more and more “garbage” was released my reality changed and altered, becoming something I had dreamt of for my entire life.

To make a really long and interesting journey short, let me just say this…

1. I truly eliminated depression, anxiety and fears out of my life. BYE BYE! (No more medications!)
2. I gained a renewed sense of wanting to be alive and participating in life.
3. I learned to love myself, maybe for the first time!
4. I attracted a very loving relationship and developed intimate friendships.
5. I allowed money into my life and abundance on other levels, too.

…I could go on and on about the numerous benefits I’ve experienced with Meditating with Brainwave Entrainment. I am so grateful that this worked for me.

I have come across many descriptions and heard numerous real-life experiences about PTSD – for me, this is the most important factor to look at when dealing with your depressive issues and anxiety.
What exactly IS PTSD? Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is the clinical definition.

It is literally the Disorder of Experiencing Stress after (Post) a Traumatic event (Car Accidents, Sexual Abuse, Going to War). Now, every Car Accident isn’t going to be classified as Traumatic and it doesn’t have to do with what actually happens, but more how the individual person reacts to that experience.

So, getting pulled over for a speeding ticket may be traumatic for someone (just an example) and for others’ accidentally killing a deer may be traumatic! (speaking from my own experience – Sorry, Bambi!)

What are some symptoms of PTSD? PTSD can manifest as depression, anxiety, stress. Having flashbacks (mental images) of the experience is common. Having a sensitive nervous system – with the shakes and feeling numb in the body/mind. Random crying and extreme bouts of Anger, especially for me. It varies for each individual.

I told myself that I MUST write an article about my experience. I don’t think anyone should ever have to be depressed to the point of not wanting to be involved with life. I just hope my story and experience will be able to help others feel hope that they truly can experience a different type of life – HAPPY! Blessings, Love and Light.

This has been an argument that has been going on for quite a long time in the circles of personal development and it seems that the arguments for brainwave entrainment has been growing with momentum. The case is pretty clear cut and once you read why brainwave entrainment is better, then you will come to see the inherent dangers of subjecting yourself to any form of hypnotism. Let’s start with hypnotism first – so that you will understand the rationale behind its failures as an effective medium for self improvement. Hypnotism is much a hit and miss science as anything else and once you have read into its history and effects over the past 50 years, you will understand why. Hypnotism does not use any formal measuring or calculations – nor does it use scientific equipment to validate its selling points.

The thing is, the human brain is a complex system of neurons and chemical reactions, and hypnotism only assumes that once one is under, the subconscious is the one talking to them. But there are so many levels of ‘dream-wake’ that the mind can regress to and sometimes the defences are still up and the subconscious remains as hidden and as aloof to the efforts of the hypnotists as it as ever have been.

Furthermore, hypnotism seems to claim an all cure method for its single ‘state’ which by the way, doesn’t use measuring tools. Again this point is repeated for a very good reason. Simply telling someone to learn better or learn faster isn’t going to make him do so. The brain must be in the right state of mind or frequency state before it is able to multiply its powers of information absorption.

Simply telling the subconscious to ‘be happy’ doesn’t immediately train the subconscious to release the endorphins and make the subject smile all the time. That is the gripe that many people have with hypnotism and let’s not even go to the dangerous fraudsters who will implant messages for their own gain. It is a minefield of possibilities and it isn’t something that would give the end-user tangible returns. Brainwave entrainment is very different. It is an exact science backed up by almost 200 years of research and development with applications that run through a wide range of medical practices, including psychology.

The science has been refined of late and is made available online through consumer channels – one simply has to order the CD online (example) to start his or her road to personal development. There is no external party, there are no complicated procedures and the technology pinpoints and induces the exact brain states that are associated with your goals.

You cannot get more exact than that and when it comes to issues of the mind, one should not risk their consciousness and subconsciousness to a general solution to a very specific problem that they have. The answer to the question is quite elementary; brainwave entrainment will always be better than hypnosis training for its almost negligible learning curve, safety and the exact science behind it.
