Brainwave Entrainment Healing Depression With Meditation Software

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

I suffered with depression for well over five years before I was diagnosed. Even though the signs and symptoms were all there I just didn’t want to admit it. I finally went to a psychologist to have it confirmed and I was quite surprised that it was actually a relief to know. This enabled me to face it and start to take action.

So what it depression? The World Health Organization defines depression as…

“Depression is a common mental disorder, characterized by sadness, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or appetite, feelings of tiredness, and poor concentration.”

If you have depression the serotonin levels in your brain are lower than what you require to maintain a positive state of mental health. It’s normal to have minor ups and downs in mood so if you are experiencing that well then welcome to life.

Depression is an ongoing state that won’t let up. It affects your daily routine, your friendships, your job and your life in general. While I was going through it I believed that depression was something I was born with… genes. Other people in my family had it and lived with it. I knew there was another answer.

I can tell you that mine was accompanied by severe body pain which my doctor diagnosed as fibromyalgia. I was told my depression was mild and given a drug to help me. I can’t remember which one it was so long ago but I do remember the side effects. I stayed on it for two weeks and then immediately took myself off and starting seeking other solutions. I still had the body pain.

Once I had the diagnosis I was on a mission to eliminate this condition which plagued my life. I scoured book stores and the internet looking for solutions. I began with altering my diet to eat only foods that were alkaline and raw. The theory was that these would balance my hormone levels and help to regulate proper production of serotonin in my brain. I was already getting lots of exercise at work so that wasn’t part of the problem.

Exercise helps by releasing endorphins which are natural pain killers. I read books on meditation and used meditating music each night and on the weekends to help me sleep. My mind was constantly in motion chattering away keeping me hyped up and stressed out. Did I mention the complete fatigue as well.

This went on for about two years before I had enough and my body just quit. I had no choice at this point. I had to find an answer.

Taking leave from my career to get well I ramped up my efforts by opening my mind to new possibilities. I had encountered brain wave technology for instilling positive belief systems for success and I wondered if any programs existed for depression. With all the knowledge I had regarding my condition and how I created it this solution seemed plausible.

I found a software with brainwave technology that used binaural beats to put me in the calm meditative Alpha state. I used the generic introductory program for two weeks and my mood instantly shifted. I was feeling more positive and hopeful. I knew this was part of the solution.

After a few weeks profound changes occurred. I saw life differently, my attitude changed, my body pain was gone, and I was able return to work. The mind chatter had diminished leaving a calm, relaxed state of mind. People and situations which used to bring my anger and frustration to the surface appeared amusing now. I was handling high volume stressful situations at work with ease, grace and clarity.

I used the program to three levels and then felt well enough and strong enough to see if it would stick. It was scary at first. I wondered if the depression would return. If this actually cured my depression or not.

Months went by and I was still fine. To this day which is eight years later use it now to keep my brain supple and strong. Plus it feels nice.

I’ve educated myself since then on energy medicine and now know this is the technology behind it. We are all energetic beings living within and being affected by the energy around us. The brain wave technology I used helped me by raising my personal energetic vibration. Using the Alpha frequency it literally programmed my body into a state of bliss.

Little did I know that before using the program I was operating from a very low energetic vibration.

I now use energy healing in every part of my life to keep my mind, body and spirit healthy. Because my frequency is higher I crave healthy food, exercise that invigorates rather than exhausts and a healthy state of mind.

There are many binaural meditation programs out there. I tried Holosync by Centre Point Research but the technology is even more advanced now. I’ve recently tried Om Harmonics and it’s lighter, sweeter and easier to use.

Wish you all the best in your journey to wellness.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Brainwave Entrainment Introduce a Significant Change In Your Life By Banning Television Forever

I stopped watching TV almost 14 years ago and most apprehensions I had about missing out on news and information were short-lived. It is probably one of the most significant steps I took towards self-improvement, because it instantly released an additional hour or two per day for other tasks, which I then believed I did not quite have time for. Over the years, I have tried to impress upon various people including the colleagues at my workplace on the advantages and almost everyone who followed this simple rule confirmed that their life had changed significantly.

Many people that I come in touch with me ask me why I did this, what are the advantages and how on earth I can manage life without TV. So I thought I should write a comprehensive article on it.

5 Biggest Reasons You Should Not Watch TV

TV induces trance-like states

Psychology generally define trance as a state of limited awareness or as a kind of altered state of consciousness. Trance has for time immemorial been associated with hypnotic states. Meditation produces strong trance states. Trance states are much more common than is believed. The normal aware state is called ‘Beta’ whereas ‘Alpha’ waves are associated with a deep relaxation or trance-like state. When in Alpha, a person experiences a passive learning experience, intentionally or otherwise whilst discarding critical and logical thinking skills.

Way back in the year 1969, a man named Herbert Krugman conducted a series of experiments regarding the effect of television on a person’s brainwaves. What he discovered was quite important and at once, startling. Krugman found that in less than one minute of television viewing, the person’s brainwaves switched from Beta waves – brainwaves associated with active, logical thought – to primarily Alpha waves. When the subject stopped watching television and began reading a magazine, the brainwaves reverted to Beta waves.

In this altered state, you are extremely susceptible to all kinds of negative influences, from crime, violence and sex to programming yourself with negativity, from having your belief systems poisoned to affecting your outlook on life and the world in general. Since your critical thinking skills are subjugated by the induced trance-like state, even advertisements have a more-than-normal impact on your decision-making abilities.

Waste of time

The one common excuse we all have for the things that we have to do or ought to do or want to do is “I just don’t have the time”. We all have 24 hours a day, be it Mother Teresa or Mahatma Gandhi, no one had a minute extra per day. Where corporate time-management skills are a pre-requisite from a work perspective, it is equally important that we spend every minute of our life optimally in our best and highest interests. Just banning TV from my life, has given me so much more time each month to do the things I love and ensure I have ample time for the average householder’s duties. The Nielsen research showed the average American watched an average of 5 hours of TV per day. I am not sure what the corresponding numbers are for the average India, but I am sure it would be at least 2-3 hours per day – that is almost a month and a half extra time per year.

Save Money

As mentioned earlier, in your highly susceptible altered state of mind, TV influences you to buy things that you normally wouldn’t buy. Stand-alone advertisements, integrated product placements, direct messages, subliminal messaging, all of these spur you to buy things when you see them. Quite obviously, heavy TV viewing is inextricably linked to higher material aspirations as well. Rather than make conscious decisions using all our faculties on the things we need, the TV images play on your fears and desires to trigger the ‘I must have that’ feeling. We fail to distinguish between what is ‘need to have’ and ‘nice to have’. Consumerism is almost never a solution for happiness – yet most commercials tell you exactly that to get your ‘buy in’.

Lack of social skills

Every hour spent in front of the idiot box is an hour that you could have utilized so meaningfully with your family, your friends, in social or professional networking, on reading, writing, hobbies, learning or any other activity you enjoy. A family that watches TV together and perhaps even laughs or cries at the same time whilst watching TV isn’t bonding with each other, they are actually bonding with the content on the TV.

Obesity

Watching TV takes away the time for exercise, for both young and old, leading to obesity in families. Watching TV is a double whammy – not only does it take away the time to exercise, at the same time it inculcates undesirable habits like being a couch potato, eating unhealthy or junk food and giving in to the temptation of sugary soft drinks. Some people think television is also the main culprit behind attention deficit disorder but this is aggravated by sugary soft drinks. If not controlled with a proper diet and exercise, this problem will ultimately lead to further obesity. Eventually, TV addiction concomitant with junk food will cause high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease. Sports broadcast on TV discourages children from participating in local sports and league games because they prefer to watch the sport instead of playing them.

5 Best Steps to Stop Watching TV

By now, if you have made a decision to ban TV from your life, the next challenge is how you can go about achieving this. This is not a challenge for some people, but for others, it could be a major challenge, depending on how long and how addictive their TV watching pattern has been.

Even moderate viewers are known to experience ‘withdrawal symptoms’ if they stop watching TV for a prolonged period of time. Way back in October 1975, two sets of experiments in South Africa and West Germany, where several families volunteered to turn off their TVs for just a month led to depression, increased anxiety and frustration compounded with the inability to know what to do with the extra time they now had on their hands.

Find replacement activities.

Bad Habits can be successfully changed by replacing the old habit with a new one. Make sure the extra time is immediately and fully utilized with rewarding and fulfilling replacement activities such as Jogging, swimming, playing sports, cycling, aerobics, going to the gymnasium, catching up with friends, attending a workshop, reading a book, writing, blogging, travelling, hiking, doing a course, organizing your life/home/office, meditating, socializing, starting a new business or venture, etc. Taking up a mini-course on something you always wanted to learn or on self-improvement is perhaps the best idea.

Disconnect your cable TV subscription.

The compulsion to watch TV can only be quelled by disconnecting any cable or satellite TV subscription – this ensures that you do not fall back into those habits in uncertain moments. If you are serious in your pursuit, do it tomorrow. You get your time back and also save money at the same time.

Gradual reduction

If you are uncertain or apprehensive, plan to gradually reduce your TV time to NIL. Make sure that for every few minutes that you have reduced TV watching time, you have another activity planned at that exact hour. If you are a heavy TV watcher, start off by limiting your TV time to just 2 hours a day at a specific time. Fill in all other time slots through proper planning. After a week, reduce this to an hour and a half and once again find an alternative activity. After yet another week, reduce this to an hour and finally to thirty minutes before completely doing away with this habit. When you have finally reduced it to NIL minutes per day, make sure you stick to this program for 21 continuous days.

The 21 day Transformation

In today’s day and age, it is a well known fact backed by research that it takes 21 days to break or form a new habit. 21 days is the time required for new neuropathways to be fully formed in your brain. There are innumerable examples available online to confirm this fact. It is also more efficient, because this is the minimum time required as well as the shortest possible time to transform yourself.

Make New Goals

On the very first day that you decide to stop watching TV, sit down by yourself for a couple of hours and make an exhaustive list of what you would like to do in your spare time. List out specific goals for yourself and make sure they are S.M.A.R.T. goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound. Work on your personal goals every single day, even if it is only for 30 minutes each day. You will be amazed at the results and make sure you write back to me on your achievements.

Brainwave Entrainment Happy Cows Produce More Milk and Happy Workers Produce More Everything

I recently watched a program on the Science Channel. The focus was animal behavior and their feelings. One of the studies was about cows. The conclusion was that cows who were happy or contented with their handler produced more milk. Handlers that were calm, patted the cattle, and exhibited kindly and friendly behavior resulted in higher production.

This is not the first study of feelings and behavior of cows. Dr. Donald Broom, professor of Animal Welfare in Cambridge’s Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine challenged cows with situations requiring them to think and make decisions in overcoming a set of obstacles. As the cows succeeded, “their brainwaves showed excitement, their heartbeat went up,” the report showed. They liked challenges.

In another study Psychologists at the University of Leicester, UK, played music of different tempos to herds of cattle. The results? “Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony and Simon & Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water were a big hit in the milking shed.” Easy listening produced more milk than fast-paced rock and roll. There is a direct relationship between friendly handlers, music, and work. Reducing stress usually produces healthier and happier workers and they in return produce more work for their efforts.

In a Gallup pole of two millions workers from 700 organizations found that “the length of an employee’s stay in an organization is largely determined by his relationship with his immediate supervisor.” Contented workers continued working for a supervisor he or she liked, however 46% quit if they didn’t like their supervisors. I guess the difference between cows and workers is that cows can’t quit and look for different handlers.

Contented workers are developed by trust, expectations and challenges, and responses by their supervisors. Supervisors that provide praise for a job well done, usually end up with employees returning the favor by producing more jobs done, well. In other words if we appreciate how we are being handled or cared for, we produce more milk.

Some organizations might milk this information for all its worth, but organizations that form a bond with management and employees should expect the cream of the crop and “butter” relationships.

I recently purchased the quantum mind power method by Morry Zelcovitch. It helps the listeners in improving their mind power skills, their concentration and also reduces their stress and anxiety. All you have to do is pop in your head phones, sit back and listen to the whole package. Now, what the package tells you to do is to listen to the audio tracks in it for 60 days, spending about thirty minutes each day on it. Morry Zelcovitch spent 15 years researching the product and creating it. This program uses a binaural beat technology which enhances your brain power. It employs monaural and isochronic tones and creates a mental state which is relaxed nd helps in reprogramming your mind. This is also known as brain wave entertainment.

Quantum Mind Power is a digital product. You get six.mp3 files and a user manual along with free follow up emails. The.mp3 files are as follows

NEURAL SYNERGY: This is the most vital file in the program, according to the user manual you have to listen to it everyday. This track helps to improve your mind power, reorganizing the mind and helping you in handling complicated things. It configures your mind to higher configuration.

EDEN ENERGY WAVES: This track helps you in keeping the negative thoughts at bay and closing in on the positive things in life. If you are facing negative things in life it is recommended that you listen to it everyday. It also helps you in combating the stagnant stages of life.

WHOLE BRAIN GRATITUDE MEDITATION: It is an audible voice track. It helps you in achieving a feeling of gratitude towards your family, friends and your colleagues; it is mixed with a high powered entertainment rhythm. It’s basically a meditation track.

EMOTIVE BRAINWAVE HYPNOSIS: This too is a guided meditation track. It pushes you towards achieving success and happiness, which you might have found to be too elusive. In the words of the User’s Manual, “The hypnosis will help you ‘rewire’ some of your old thinking patterns that aren’t serving you well.” It also re-wires your old thinking patterns. It makes you a happier person and will change your perspective towards the world.

SUBLIMINAL WEALTH AND PROSPERITY SUPPORT: Having negative and stupid thoughts about wealth and wealthy people, then you need to listen to this track. It keeps all the nagging thoughts of such nature at bay and helps you in rising above them.

SUBLIMINAL HEALTH SUPPORT: This recording stresses the need of health and its benefits in a huge way, above everything else a person has to have a healthy body and mind and this is what is stressed in this recording.

Along with this you get free access to a member’s only forum where you can discuss your problems and get answers to any questions which might arise after you start using this product. You can even get to chat with Morry Zelcovitch himself.

After listening to this program as per the schedule (to be honest, I did not adhere to it strictly), I can safely say that it actually works. I have seen a marked improvement in my self esteem and the general perception of things. I have learnt to unwind and stay stress free from the time I started using it. There has been a marked improvement in my life. I am also able to sleep peacefully and wake up feeling fully charged up. I’m able to employ my grey matter more effectively and as a result my decisions are turning out to be beneficial. I feel happier and my sense of power has increased.

The only thing that put me off was that the cost of the basic system is one hundred and forty seven dollars, and the premium package is one hundred and ninety seven dollars. Also the premium package only has two more programs than the basic package for fifty dollars more.

But, I think this program is worth giving a try as you can always request for a refund if this does not work for you.

I often feel down. Do you?

Now, before you go judging me (or yourself) for being defective in some way, consider: do you often feel physically hungry? I know I do – several times a day! Do you often feel dirty? I know I do. I need a couple of showers a day! Do you often feel sleepy? Sure! I need plenty of sleep every day – and a nap if I can help it!

So why do we beat ourselves up when we feel down and unmotivated and lost? Zig Ziglar was a master at this: he often reminded his listeners that they had to motivate themselves daily. It’s not a one-time thing. If you feel down a few days after a great motivational seminar or the day after an inspired worship service or an hour after you heard news of a job promotion, there’s not something wrong with you. You’re normal!

You get hungry a few hours after every meal. You feel down a while after every high! There’s not anything wrong with you. You just need to learn how to feed yourself! This is a big part of Daniel Goldman’s discovery in his groundbreaking work, Emotional Intelligence. People of high “EQ” know how to make themselves happy.

And how do you make yourself happy? How do you motivate yourself?

Well, take mental awareness of your state when you were experiencing a high moment. We tend to take those for granted, not paying much attention to what made us happy in those moments. But think about it. Who was with you? What were you eating or drinking? What were you wearing? What time of the day was it? What kind of building were you in? What smells did you encounter?

I’ll tell you some of mine if you’ll tell me some of yours: Particular happy, intelligent and – more importantly – empathetic friends of mine. Cathartic conversations with said friends. A banquet hall or ballroom. Good morsels of protein, preferably some shellfish. Heaps of steamed or lightly cooked vegetables. (I’m thinking of broccoli right now!) A cafe. A bookstore. A cafe in a bookstore. The smell of brewing coffee. The smell of citrus (not so much of flowers). A heavy pen in my hand, with a gel ink nib. Fine paper that feels like skin – much like one would find in a Moleskine notebook. An elevated view with a balcony.

Holding my iPhone in my hands, landscape format, and writing in plain text.

Reading my own blog, in reverse chronological order.

I do each of these things when I can. I ask divinity for such experiences as grace would provide.

Some things I do to feed myself are fundamental, “big-ticket” items, like meditating or writing or brainwave entrainment. Some things are little experiences for which I’m grateful and which inspire even more gratitude in me. Like a hand-ground tumbler of filtered African coffee – made with my son’s help. Like a whiff of CK One perfume. Like a moment with myself at a quiet cafe (not a Starbucks) and a book – physical or digital.

Whatever floats your boat, whatever turns you on, whatever feeds your spirit – take many moments to do that.

But you know what? To round it off, keep a journal and turn to it regularly in moments of need for inspiration. It’s the one thing that’s made the biggest difference for me, and I’ll bet it’ll be the same for you, too. I keep a txt file journal in the cloud and a public journal – my blog. I read/write them often.

It’s the best way to motivate yourself when you need a boost. Do you have a journalling system in place?

I met a man today, we’ll call him George, who couldn’t read. This was not because he hadn’t paid attention in school, but because he hadn’t ever been to school. This prevents him from working. Even a construction job wants you to be able to get the box of 10 penny nails without opening every carton. On a maintenance job they want to be sure that you can tell the difference between the floor wax and the roach paste.

One would expect George to be angry and discouraged, but he was not. He was funny and hopeful, and willing to do whatever he has to do to learn to read at this time.

Doing What You Have to Do

George’s goal is to learn to read, and you probably have goals as well. These goals can be broken down into sub-goals or activities. This is always based on our experience or our logical assumptions. Leave some room for Divinity to offer help. When this happens, we will experience some random leaps. As in the game Chutes and Ladders, Divinity offers both ladders and chutes.

In the meantime, we do what we can do and move forward one space at a time. Don’t skip steps. Skipping steps or cheating on a step will make a liar out of you. Don’t lie to yourself, your higher power or to Divinity/Source/Creator. You either want to achieve your goal, or you don’t. As soon as you start to skimp or avoid, you are telegraphing the information that you don’t really want to achieve whatever it was.

So do what you have to do once you have a plan. When you are actively working on your plan you will begin to see the ladders appear as Divinity/Source/Creator helps out. People or equipment will come into your life that will help you.

When the next Step Ahead is a Mountain to Climb:

George needed to surmount a huge barrier today. He is terrified of needles and he needed to submit to a blood test. Since he was never in school, he didn’t learn as a child that the doctor gives you needles and they hurt, but the doctor also gives you a lollipop and that tastes good. Needles probably don’t scare you, but I will explain George’s dilemma.

Three years ago, George was forced to submit to a blood test. The doctor who was going to administer it lost patience and ended up jamming the needle into George’s arm and it broke off. It hurt and George was scared to have this hollow needle in his arm leaking out his blood. He grabbed the doctor’s hand and forced him to pull out the needle, and then he jammed the broken needle in the Doc’s arm and began to hit him.

George has just gotten out of prison after three years for that offence. So, today, to move forward in his goal to get into a literacy program, George had to submit to a blood test.

Coherent Breathing:

We talked about it. I taught him some deep breathing exercises (Coherent Breathing) and talked about the other tests the medical technician would be doing. I suggested that he close his eyes, and do the deep breathing.

When your brainwaves are in alpha, you can’t feel stress. You can only feel stress when your brainwaves are in beta. Deep breathing (each breath to a count of five) using your diaphragm rather than your thoracic muscles comes out to 6 breaths per minute. At this rate, you synchronize your breathing with your heart beat, which helps in relaxing, clarifying your mental state and putting your body at ease.

George did not do the breathing, but watched exactly what the technician was doing. He fussed and pulled, but she was able to do her job. Afterwards, he felt great. He had gotten past that block. He was on his way to learning to read.

Good going George, and thank you to the technician who helped.

I love books!

I have read a lot of different titles in my life. I started with a series of books about “The Famous Five” by Enid Blyton. As I grew up I got more interested in personal development, psychology, cognitive science and the human mind.

For several years my goal was to read at least one personal development book every week. These were both business and personal growth titles.

One day about six months ago I suddenly realized that my reading had decreased dramatically. I didn’t read anything at all!

Why?

Well, the simple answer was that I didn’t have the time or to be more accurate; I didn’t prioritize the reading. On my bedside table was “Pilgrimage” by Paulo Coelho, still unfinished after several weeks.

Then a friend of mine mentioned downloadable audio books.

I wasn’t that excited. I wanted to hold the book in my hands, keep the finished book in my bookcase, check for interesting chapters later and…

Ok, “I understand,” said my friend, “but you just told me you didn’t have the time to read.”

So, I downloaded my first audio book. It felt safe to choose Paolo Coelho and now I chose one of my favorites: “The Alchemist.” As I had read this book it was interesting to compare the audio book with the original.

I was totally blown away! This was exactly what I wanted. I suddenly realized that I could resume my old reading habits, or maybe I should say book consumption habits of one book a week. Maybe I even could increase this habit.

After a while I developed my own routines of how to listen to audio books most effectively. I listened while exercising and both my mind and body got trained. I listened while commuting and also when I was traveling. These were situations that didn’t demand any big thinking from me. But there was another really interesting discovery I made, read on.

I could use audio books in situations that really required my total focus; Audio books that helped me in problem solving and with my creativity. This is a technique that uses sound to stimulate the creative mind pattern in your own brainwaves. This might sound a bit strange but I tried and found that somehow these audio books really helped me. I always use them when I write articles, news releases and web content. I also use them in situations when I try to think out of the box.

One other great thing about downloadable audio books is that I can get my book instantly and 24/7. It’s almost like having your own library at home.

To summarize my experience with audio books so far, I have to say that I am grateful for these new technologies. I got back one of my main interests, books. I found tools that help me in my daily life, “Creative Mind System.” I also found a way to be more effective as I could listen to audio books while doing other less productive tasks.

Brainwave Entrainment Questions About Facilitated Communication and Telepathy Answered by Nonverbal Typist Using FC

I have used facilitated communication, facilitated writing and drawing, supported typing, and strategies similar to RPM, for many years. I contend that there is an energetic component.

This spiritual or energetic connection is difficult to assess. I suspect a merging of consciousness exists between the facilitator and the typist resulting in an atypical telepathic resonance where we begin communicating as one.

I have many unanswered questions. I pursue the answers to enhance my understanding of consciousness and to help parents and caregivers accommodate children and adults with severe autism. These open individuals are under served by the limitations put on them. Not listening to their enhanced perspective, limits everyone. What is their advanced perspective? It seems to differ depending on who is serving as their partner. I sense severely autistic people know me well and perhaps helps me access what I need to hear.

Recently, I revisited some unanswered questions about facilitated communication that continue to perplex me. I asked a friend of mine, diagnosed with severe nonverbal autism, who uses the FC and telepathy to reply, comment, and explain.

She typed using facilitated support to answer most of the questions. A few answers, I received by direct telepathy. I read those answers back to her for clarification and approval. At times, my friend resists doing all the typing. She insists, I am ready to trust my telepathic receiving and work that way. It is easier and more expeditious for both of us. Very minor editing, capitalization, and punctuation was added by me.

Do our brain waves synchronize when we participate in joint attention activities such as facilitated communication?

Both frequency and wave length are synchronized. The slower and longer the wave length, the closer the waves are to the earth vibration. I lower my vibration as you raise yours. We meet somewhere in the middle. When brainwaves match, communication occurs. Brain waves synchronize first, then bodily rhythms. Bodily rhythm is extremely important to our partnership. It provides balance and support to my disorganized system.

Is merging of consciousness happening at the subconscious level?

No, joining is happening at the conscious level. I am looking for a safe place to land. Many autistic souls never find the opportunity but if they do, they adhere to the person who allows them that privilege. I am very grateful for the opportunity to feel the earth vibration. Facilitation provides the structure necessary to feel the pulse of the earth. Without this help, I remain adrift, unable to control many bodily processes. Because of its organizing effect, FC needs to be used. People need to realize, it is not about communication, it is about balance. Many systems are out of sync in severe autism. Communication is one of those systems. More affected because of the complexity of language.

Does our connection occur in the right brain?

Our connection begins in the right brain but is sustained by balanced hemispheric interaction. Balance is achieved by staying grounded.

How does aligning with me help you?

Autistic souls like me, see other planes simultaneously. It is difficult getting grounded. It is like a tug of war. The strongest magnet has our loyalty. “Kool” to be in demand. Like attracts like. You are like me in many ways. Look in my eyes. Eyes like mine see your soul in its biggest form, unrestricted by language.

Do you tap into my knowledge base?

Your Knowledge base is easily accessible once we are in sync. It is easy to parrot your thoughts and wishes. As balance increases, so does control of my conscious mind. Independent thought, not independent typing, is my ultimate goal.

Do you help me raise my vibration to get in touch with my higher self?

Yes, but your higher self is within not without. Higher really means deeper. The peeling of the onion so to speak leads you to awareness. Evolution is concentric. Go to the innermost the most inner part of your awareness and plant a seed to create new paradigms.

Does merging consciousness help us tap into an emanating universal field of knowledge?

Yes, when we are in sync, we form a unit of channelled resources where we simultaneously know each others thoughts and interpretations of ancient teachings often lost by more integrated souls. This field records understanding of primal urges to organize matter into meaningful structures that sustain and support God’s creation. God is Creator and unifying force that allows subtle energies of man to create with Him. Huge responsibility to evolve together.

Does syncing our brains waves help produce our telepathic experiences?

Telepathy occurs when we synchronize our brain waves and sensory system. Both are needed for maximum effect. As an open channel, you help me navigate linear thought that is not accessible when channels are closed. Open channels are like a river, they meander and flow. However, the current keeps the momentum going. Without the current, the river has no way of organizing itself. When facilitating, you serve as the current to keep information flowing.

What strategies should I use to encourage independent ego communication?

My Independent ego comes pouring through when I want or need something enough to spark a chemical signal in my brain that overrides your perspective. Setting up scenarios where you use my strong desires, provide opportunities for me to strengthen my conscious mind. For example, you know how much I like nuts. If you insist that I type “nuts” independently before I get one, I will.

I know you are now thinking of my compulsions. This strategy does not work because the impetus is ultimately too strong. I cannot type when I am under control of a compulsion or addiction. It will result in disaster more times than not. Strong wish creates moderate adrenaline. Compulsion creates chaos.

Are your high-speed fleeting thoughts and chaotic flow being entrained by magnetic signals?

Magnetic signals come from the earth. You bring these signals to me and hook me to the magnetic field connected to the earth vibration.

Why does information sometimes change when you are working with me as opposed to another facilitator?

Each facilitated partnership differs depending the mixture of brain waves and sensory systems, knowledge in the conscious mind and in the soul. Reverberations give signals that transfer thought forms and dream like symbols into words. You help find the correct word unconsciously.

I freely admit, after all these years, joining energy and merging consciousness, I still have very little understanding of the process. What I do know, is that my view of consciousness has deepened and become more complex, due to the valuable insights and information, I have received. In all fairness, I also admit, I have received inaccurate information or perhaps, my interpretation was incorrect. I leave it to the reader to discern. It is such a magnificent, perplexing, intricate tapestry.

I have used a number of biofeedback relaxation techniques in my counseling practice including handwarming, EEG biofeedback, and heart rate variability biofeedback, which is the tool I have used since becoming a licensed one on one provider in 2000.

I like to teach my heart rate variability biofeedback clients another tool, which I believe works very synergistically with it, called Open Focus. Open Focus helps me to remember the space in and around everything, including my heart, and when I create an Open Focus, my brain moves into an alpha brain wave (or relaxed external focus) very quickly.

I think the key to biofeedback relaxation is to be able to switch attentional styles, brainwave status, or heart rate variability coherence quickly, moving into and out of eustress and avoiding distress.

I think it is important to understand that a couple of factors mitigate a constant brain wave pattern or heart rate variability coherence.

One is the human orienting response, which means I pay attention to movements and changes around me, and when I attend to a change in the environment, like a noise behind me, I move quickly into an alarm physiology, which can take me away from my heart rate variability coherence and my alpha brainwave state and into beta (focused external awareness) in perhaps 1/18th second, according to Mihalyi Csiszentmihalyi, Ph.D. or 1/25th second response time for facial expressions like a look of contempt. By comparison, it takes me 1/10th second to blink my eyes.

My thoughts change that rapidly, and once I have identified that the noise behind me is not dangerous, and the facial expression is not a concern, then I can, with some mindfulness, return my heart rate variability to coherence.

How does heart rate variability biofeedback coupled with Open Focus help me be that mindful?

Heart rate variability biofeedback is a computerized program that provides the feedback on a computer screen, and clients get a sense, from the audio and visual feedback, of how fast their physiology changes when they create a stressful thought rather than a affiliative or cooperative thought, even though they are sitting quietly, attending to a computer.

Once clients get a sense that by switching thoughts from “I do not know how I am going to pay the gas bill this month” to “that fun birthday party with their children”, they can move into heart rate variability coherence, which is a very relaxed feeling of contentment, clients begin to understand that they can mindfully engineer their internal state of biofeedback relaxation heart beat by heart beat.

Why is that heart beat by heart beat distinction important? If your heart stops, do you have to worry about biofeedback relaxation anymore? No.

I have made heart rate variability biofeedback a part of my domestic violence and anger management groups for about 10 years.

In fact, I would have a client hooked up to the computer sitting on a table that was purposefully placed in the center of the room, and each client would do the heart rate variability biofeedback while the group swirled about them, which is the way life is, lots of noise and distractions.

Most clients were surprised to see how they responded to a tone of voice or a particular topic, and almost all of them could still move into a medium of even high level of coherence.

I would stop the group and ask them how they did that, and many would relate that they were thinking of some pleasant experience from the past, so I of course asked them if they could repeat that experience on demand. Of course, most said they could.

Brain fitness?

If you have been reading about neurogenesis and neuroplasticity at all in the last two or three years, then you have seen that we actually grow neurons daily if we attend to the pillars of brain fitness including stress management.

The heart rate variability biofeedback tool was recommended by Alvaro Fernandez, one of the leading lights in the brainfitness field.

He says it is the best stress management tool in the marketplace.

alpha beta delta | delta brain waves music
I have spent the last five hours researching the topic of neurofeedback at many different sites across the internet. I read papers from renowned psychologists to research groups at some of our finest universities. The one thing that was missing in my search was a first hand account of someone who not only experienced the therapy but also benefited from it as well. The information I found was very impressive. It involves retraining the brain and actually altering the brainwaves, which occur at different frequencies and speeds. The names of these EEG bands are delta, theta, alpha, and beta, which are measured in cycles per second or hertz (Hz).

My goal here is to provide an in-depth first hand account of the results of this fascinating therapy. My background makes me the perfect candidate for this experiment in self improvement. I have suffered from chronic pain for thirty eight years, and have spent many years helping others deal with pain and the emotional trauma that goes with it. The fact that I am also running two businesses as a self motivated entrepreneur mean that I am no stranger to stress and anxiety, both of which can be just as debilitating as any injury. People who suffer with ADD, ADHD, head injuries, strokes, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia tend to have excessive slow waves in the frontal part of the brain, making it difficult to control attention, behavior, and emotions. They have trouble focusing, and tend to exhibit diminished intellectual efficiency.

I suffered two massive concussions some years back, the repercussions of which are just now coming to light in my day to day life. I am very fortunate to have as a friend a brilliant counselor by the name of Spring Hill, who is a very strong advocate of neurofeedback and its infinite possibilities. She has already begun by performing a quantitative electroencephalogram brain map (QEEG). This will be used to evaluate my brainwave function and formulate the correct treatment for my particular problems. I am going to be reporting on the my progress in a series of articles in order to document the results of the treatment where the whole world can see it. If it works it’s obvious that millions will be able to benefit, including many people that I love and care very much for. I refuse to believe that this is just a sign of getting older, and that I should resign myself to the inevitable. Remember, Edison and Einstein both did their best work when they were completely grey headed.
