Brainwave Entrainment Beta Brain Waves For Attention Deficit Disorder Treatment

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

It has been scientifically documented that people with attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder have different brainwave patterns than most other people. When people with attention deficit disorders attempt to study, read a book, or write an article, their brainwaves remain in the theta brainwave state. Typically, attention problems stem from lacking beta brainwaves. Beta brain waves are associated with organized thinking, the ability to comprehend vocabulary, and spell words correctly. Beta brain waves are also linked to highly focused and goal-oriented states of mind.

The most common method used to get them out of this state and back in a more conscious, logical, mental state of functioning is through the prescription of stimulant drugs. These stimulant medications literally trigger a spark in the beta brainwave pattern of the person with attention problems. These beta brainwaves then increase and the person with A.D.D. is able to concentrate. There are other methods of increasing beta brain waves that are safer and more effective than taking a stimulant medication that many people don’t even know about.

A few methods include: Neurofeedback, biofeedback, and brainwave entrainment. All of these three methods are safe because they directly target the brainwaves of the person with attention deficit disorder and help them learn how to consciously change their brainwaves from a theta state to a beta state when attention is required. This means that when the person with an attention deficit is forced to write an article or take a test, he or she will be able to call up beta brainwaves for an improved ability to concentrate. When the test is over, he or she will be able to shift their brainwave state back to the theta range.

The goal of brainwave training with neurofeedback, biofeedback, and brainwave entrainment into the beta brainwave range is to help the individual with A.D.D. recognize how to change their brainwave state. Essentially, they are being taught how to change the inner workings of their brain through their brainwaves. The success rate of brainwave technology has been very high for helping people with attention deficit disorder to overcome their problems with focus.

Not to mention, stimulants have been found to have potentially unwanted side-effects and are sometimes even dangerous. Some parents of children with A.D.D. are finally catching on to the fact that there are alternative ways to change brainwaves besides having their son or daughter take medication. New technology to target the deficiency in beta brainwaves is important due to the fact that it does actually work. Too often people with attention deficit problems think that taking medication is the only answer to their problems, when this is clearly not the case.

There have been other forms of technology and practices that have been proven to be effective. Too many times we get caught up in thinking that medication is the only resolution, when we should be considering other techniques like beta brainwave entrainment or beta brain wave geared biofeedback to help overcome the obstacles of mental disorders. If you know someone with attention-deficit disorder or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder that may benefit from changing their brainwaves with new technology, be sure to let them know about this article.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

It has been said, by some, that everyone meditates involuntarily, at night, when they sleep. This does not occur during dream-filled sleep, but during the dreamless phases. A good meditation session brings the brainwaves to a lower and lower frequency, until they closely mirror the brainwave states found during sleep. The individual should still be awake though; otherwise, this is just sleeping.

Within classes, falling asleep during meditation is generally discouraged; but it is a natural thing to happen occasionally. Yoga teachers can attest to how many snoring students they awake during classes. However, falling asleep frequently, during meditation, needs to be addressed. If someone is not able to meditate because they sleep, the true cause may be a matter of procedure, during the class, or during the course of a day.

Identify the Cause

If an individual constantly falls asleep during periods of reaching a deep meditative state, it is time to closely examine their sleeping patterns. Is the individual getting a full 7-8 hours of rest in a typical night?

If the answer is: “no,” identification of the source of the problem is the first step towards a better meditative experience. At the same time, getting the proper sleep is crucial for complete health. Being short on sleep can cause serious health problems.

If the student is getting enough hours of sleep in a night, and if they are still falling asleep upon entering a deeply meditative state, it may be time to see a physician – to be checked for sleep disruptions, such as sleep apnea. Individuals, with sleep apnea often get the same amount of hours as someone else, but still not feel rested fully.

Anchoring the Mind

Once sleep has been addressed, there are a number of tactics individuals may use to keep themselves from sleeping during their meditation. One such method is anchoring the mind with a simple and repetitive task. An individual uses something to anchor themselves into a state of wakefulness while they meditate.

Yoga Breathing Techniques (pranayama)

A common mental anchor is counting the breath. A small portion of the mind is kept active by being given a simple task, to remain focused on, while the practitioner enters deeper and deeper levels of meditation.

Mantra

Mantra, japa, prayer, koan, or affirmation, are different methods that stop the mind from wandering. The result is a focus on a singular thought or feeling. Each of these five methods is unique. Of the five, mantra is the easiest because it may be one syllable, instead of a sentence. However, each method can help the mind focus and remain in the moment, without sleeping. One anchor is no better than another. It’s all about finding what method works best for the individual.

Choose an Upright Seated Posture (asana)

Another helpful method is to sit in postures with the spine straight. A reclining position is easier to fall asleep in than Sukasana (easy posture) or a straight-backed Padmasana (lotus position). The body’s instinct is to keep itself from falling over. Thus, engaging in seated postures uses this unconscious instinct to the advantage.

Movement

Meditating, at the time when you are most alert, is another way to stave off sleep. Although it is challenging, walking while meditating will keep you alert and in the moment. Consider practicing meditation sessions directly following more rigorous physical Yoga activities, such as Sun Salutations or Moon Salutations. Getting the blood and energy flowing with the Yoga asana session, and then carrying that over to meditation, can help a lot.

Above all, do not stress too much if you do happen to fall asleep. Getting angry at one’s self over anything is not helpful at all and runs counter to Yogic practices. If falling asleep during meditating could lead to missed appointments later in the day, consider setting an emergency alarm for yourself as a backup, and then do not worry about it anymore. If you continue to work through it, and apply the techniques outlined here, sooner or later – you will achieve a deep meditative state without falling asleep.

Brainwave Entrainment Easy Telepathy With Binaural Beats

It has been discovered through scientific research that telepathy is far more common with people who possess similar brainwave frequencies. Binaural beats are a very effective and simple way to help create the ideal frequency for telepathic abilities. Below we discuss exactly what telepathy is and how binaural beats can help anyone to achieve this special ability.

What is Telepathy?

Those who have telepathic abilities are able to either transfer or read thoughts without the need of direct communication. Through years of research and scientific study it has been revealed that in order for you to know what another person is thinking you must share the exact same brain frequency with them.

Some people may have the ability, possibly without even realizing it, to be able to tune into another person’s frequency whenever they choose. Often family members or really close friends will find that their frequencies may be in sync.

However for most of us we likely need a little help in order to create the right brainwave frequency to be able to develop our telepathic capabilities to be able to tune in and know what another person is thinking. Binaural beats are a proven way to simplify this process.

How can Binaural Beats Help>

Binaural beats are a safe a proven way to work directly with your brainwave frequencies. By listening to a binaural audio you can change your brainwaves to any frequency you desire in order to achieve altered mind states and subconscious realities.

This might sound a little scary but the truth is they are completely safe and have been proven to be so effective they are actually used by major corporations, top athletes and by individuals all over the world looking to improve their life and well being.

Telepathy is simply one of the many mind states that can be achieved through regular use of binaural brainwave audio’s.

How do Binaural Beats Work?

Through introducing two separate frequencies to each individual ear you can enforce the brain to make a third frequency that will be the exact difference between the two originally presented.

This unique third frequency will be the exact frequency needed in order to achieve telepathy. Brainwave entrainment has been shown to be an extremely valuable tool to develop telepathic abilities.

Do you Want to be able to Read other People’s Thoughts?

Of course not everyone wants to know what other people are thinking. However having the ability to communicate with another person without using direct communication methods is a pretty neat skill to master and an invaluable tool for living in this world.

Experts recommend that when you use the binaural beats you use them in a quiet place with your eyes closed. It is important to focus on your own energy before you are able to tune in to anyone else’s.

By sitting quietly and listening to the binaural beats through headphones you can decrease your brain frequency to such a state that you are able to tap into altered states of awareness and consequently achieve telepathy.

This method of brainwave entrainment gives you the tools to be able to train your brain to reach these low frequencies easily without much effort. Eventually your telepathic skills will become far easier after experiencing the right frequency states through the use of binaural beats.

It has been 8 weeks since I started Bill Harris’ Holosync Awakening Prologue. And I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised by the results. I was not looking for gut-wrenching changes in my personality. After all I am, on the whole, quite even in temperament. Like most folks, I am happy, confident and secure most of the time.

What attracted me to Bill Harris’ program initially was the fact that his promises did not carry the usual sales pitch. He did not promise that all your dreams would materialize with the use of his product. Nor did he say that you would become infinitely wealthy or successful or that all your desires would be made manifest. What he did promise was that

a) you would become more happy, more tranquil;

b) you would improve your brain power–increase in learning ability, memory, intuition, creativity and concentration;

c) you would experience remarkable improvement in spiritual and emotional health;

d) you would ( if you follow through with the 12 levels of the program until the end) develop the brain state of a Zen Buddhist monk.

It was this last promise–that I can have the mind and brain state of a Zen Buddhist monk– that really intrigued me. So I ordered the initial program–the Awakening Prologue online.

So far, 8 weeks into the program ( meditating 1 hour a day with Holosync), I have noticed

a)a remarkable ability on my part to focus on my work( writing),

b)increased creativity and productivity,

c)a deep, deep sense of happiness that wells up several times during the course of the day.

But what has been for me the most profound change is the ease with which I seem to enter a meta-consciousness, an “other” me looking at myself and all that happens to me in a detached, witnessing manner. It’s as though I am able to enter an altered state that prevents me from judging or reacting with blind emotions. I am watching my response( whether it be joy, anger, annoyance) as though it were someone else’s, another reality, not mine. And the benefit of this detachment is the ability not to be aroused unnecessarily by circumstance.

Well, you are probably wondering, what is Holosync and how does it work?

In its simplest form, Holosync is meditation through neurotechnology. It is based on the work of Dr. Gerald Oster whose research into the effects of sound waves on brain wave patterns led to his use of sound to create desired electrical patterns in the brain, including those of a Zen Buddhist monk who has been meditating for over 20 years. Studies have shown that these monks have unusually balanced and synchronized whole brains, developed through years of focusing by repeating a prayer or mantra. The repetitive practice of meditation has created new neural pathways in their brains allowing them to experience the ineffable sense of oneness and connectedness so typical of spiritual experiences.

Instead of merely duplicating these brain wave patterns, Harris chose to view the entire Holosync meditation process as evolutionary which means that the brain is pushed by progressively stronger stimulus to develop new structures and new thresholds. And it is this search for stronger stimulus that led Harris to the use of progressively lower frequency carriers to push the brain to higher levels of organization.

Using the analogy of a runner, Harris explains the uniqueness of his meditation process in this way:

“Once the brain finished creating the pathways needed to handle the first set of frequencies we originally gave it, evolution would stop. We would be like a runner who could never increase his run to two, three or more miles.

“In terms of the running analogy I’ve used, lowering the carrier frequency is like adding more miles to your run. On the other hand, the meditative brainwave pattern caused by the beat frequency the brain creates in reconciling the Holosync tones corresponds to how fast you run. Slowing the brain wave from beta to alpha to theta to delta is like running increasingly faster. By allowing us to run faster and farther, carrier frequency allowed us to really push the brain to change.”

The technology behind Holosync is part of a new revolution in neuroscience which sees brain wave entrainment as a means to enhanced brain power, health and longevity. Research now shows that the endorphins released when the brain is exposed to alpha and theta binaural beat patterns enhance many mental functions such as learning and memory. A recent study by Dr. Vincent Giampapa M.D. revealed that placing a listener in the various brain wave patterns using Holosync audio technology dramatically affects three hormones related to longevity and well-being. He found the following changes in levels of melatonin, DHEA and cortisol in 19 users of Holosync listening 4 hours a day over a 3 day period:

a)Over 68% had increases in DHEA ( the hormone that acts as a buffer against stress and aging) levels with an average increase of 43.77%.

b)Cortisol, the stress hormone, was down an average of 46.47%, with positive changes in 68% of the people.

c)Levels of melatonin, the hormone associated with restful sleep, increased an average of 97.77% with positive changes detected in over 73% of the participants.

The entire process of moving through the 12 levels of Holosync would take 7 years. This is really quite encouraging considering that a normal Buddhist monk would take 20 years or more of intense meditation to arrive at this level. For me, the die is cast. I am committed to the entire program; even the 7 year engagement is seductive because it tells me that this is not a simple exercise in magic, but a lifelong commitment to mind and spiritual development.

It has always amazed me, how some days I struggle to solve complex problems, but if I sleep on it, and come back to it the next day, I solve it in 10 seconds flat!

How often has this happened to you?

It’s almost like your brain has had time to reset overnight and is fresh the next morning. Or has your brain been working on the problem while you sleep?

The worst case of a short term memory problem, is when you see someone walking towards you in the street. You met them the day before and can’t remember their name. But as you stress your memory to remember their name, it just becomes a no win situation. Their name appears to get further and further away from your memory.

How can such a small problem make us want to cross the street to avoid greeting the person?

And then 5 minutes later, their name just mysteriously pops into your mind!

Very frustrating, to say the least.

Brain entrainment has been around for a very long time. Many years of research has proved that brainwaves provide a valuable insight into a person’s mind and body. Not only that, but they can be stimulated to actually change a person’s current state of mind.

How many times have you felt like you needed to change your state of mind? Some days things just get done easily and without effort, while other days it is a struggle, and things don’t flow as well. This is largely due to the state of your mind.

Research has shown that, by causing the brain to produce or decrease specific types of brainwave frequencies, it is possible to bring about a large variety of mental states and emotional reactions.

This is brainwave entrainment. The process of enhancing your normal brainwave state has been known to scientists and doctors for many years.

But why would you bother?

Well, the documented benefits include, but are not limited to, improvements with:

temporary pain relief,
temporary stress reduction,
sleeping disorders,
general relaxation, and
meditation.
Binaural beats were the most recognized form of brainwave entrainment, until the recent discovery of the more effective isochronic tones. Binaural beats were first discovered in 1839 by a German experimenter, H. W. Dove.

The human ability to “hear” binaural beats appears to be the result of evolutionary adaptation. Many evolved species can detect binaural beats because of their brain structure.

In humans, binaural beats can be detected when carrier waves are below 1000 Hz, approximately. This is because wave lengths below 1000 Hz are longer than the diameter of the human skull. Therefore, these wave lengths actually curve around the skull by diffraction and are heard by both ears.

As the sound wave passes around the skull, each ear hears a different portion of the wave and it’s this difference that allows for the accurate location of sounds below 1000 Hz.

So by listening to a specially designed brain entrainment CD, you will hear sonic tones that will induce low frequency energy which your brain will attempt to duplicate or ‘entrain’ to.

These frequencies are normal, everyday frequencies found in the EEG waveforms of humans, and it is well documented that increases in the following areas are possible:

Memory capability
Mental absorbency
Intellectual stamina
Thought power
Mental acuity
And overall intelligence
So, is brain entrainment vital for business success or any success?

I certainly believe so and wouldn’t live in a business environment without it.

It happens to you twice a year. You change your clock and leave your internal clock out of sync.

Daylight savings time, the practice of temporarily advancing our clocks so that evenings have more sunlight and the mornings have less, goes into effect every spring. In the fall, we reverse our clocks, going back to standard time. Sounds simple and easy, doesn’t it?

Spring, spring ahead, fall, fall behind.

And no matter which one we’re doing, our bodies are affected… so it’s not so simple and easy.

You wouldn’t think that one hour either way would cause so much disruption… but it does.

In the spring, it’s totally brutal.

You get up an hour earlier than what your body has become accustomed to, and it lets you know about in no uncertain terms.

You’re tired, grumpy, and hungry at the wrong times…you can’t think straight, you can’t focus or concentrate like you normally do, you have a headache, you’re anxious…you’re messed up…and did I say, you’re grumpy?

A session of brainwave entrainment can bring your brain back up to speed and alleviate all those “time change” problems.

A Specialized Brainwave Entrainment Recording Will….

Boost energy for the brain and body similar to the way caffeine does except it stays around longer. The mental fog will lift and you’ll have the energy to get up off of your chair.
Help you think faster putting you into a high-state of mind.
Enable you to generate new ideas in a flash.
Increase your conversational energy. You’ll actually have something to contribute when you’re in the coffee room.
Will leave you feeling more positive, not so grumpy. You won’t feel so down.
Make you smarter. Yes really. Your IQ will be higher, especially if you listen to a session every day. You’ll appreciate what you read, and if you have to do anything that utilizes math, you’ll be better at it.
Leave you feeling a little bit excited, invigorated. You could translate that feeling into any manner of possibilities.
Increase your ability to focus…you know, like when you’re awake.
Get you pumped up and ready to tackle your goals for the day, or maybe for your life.
Make you feel alert, ready to react to whatever comes your way.

Brainwave entrainment is a powerful technology that can be accessed when you choose to access it… it’s all in your hands. Designed recordings for energy, though, are best done no closer than 3 hours before your bedtime, because they work. They give you energy and any closer than the 3 hours, you’ll be up all night… which is good, if you’ve got to pull an all nighter, I guess.

Line up your inner clock to match the clock on the stove.

Time change doesn’t have to take the wind out of your sales.

Brainwave Entrainment What To Do When You Are Having A Panic Attack

It can appear out of the blue, for no apparent reason, leading you to believe that you are going to die, right there, right now, in the middle of everything.

Your palms get sweaty, your heart pounds, you tremble and shake.

All of a sudden, you can’t breathe and you’re sure you’ve forgotten how.

The world spins around you and blood rushes to your face, giving you a hot flash.

You feel like you are going to black out and lose all control.

But there is no physical threat….nothing is trying to hurt you. It’s all in your mind.

Your body is reacting to an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Your sympathetic nervous system has perceived a threat and signaled the release of stress hormones into your bloodstream. Whatever the trigger, and in most cases there doesn’t appear to be one, the brain interprets that you are being threatened and initiates the fight or flight response. This is a very important life-saving response…unless there is no threat, and it doesn’t shut off.

Facts About A Panic Attack

It can appear at random.
May run in families.
Can be mild to severe.
Usually lasts 5 to 20 minutes, peaking at around 10 minutes.
Can come in clusters for up to an hour.
Can have “aftershocks” days later.
It comes in the form of a vicious cycle. You can feel symptoms coming on, which increases the release of more stress hormones, which heightens fear, which heightens the possibility of an attack and on and on.
The release of adrenalin leaves you shaky, edgy, and confused, with all of your senses heightened.
You feel disoriented.
Your heart races.
Your legs get rubbery.
Your mind races to find the threat on the outside, and when it can’t find it there, starts believing the threat is on the inside, leading you to believe that you are going to die, that your heart is going to stop beating, and that you will forget to breathe and suffocate.
Leaves you feeling worn out and extremely anxious, like you just been physically attacked.

What To Do During A Panic Attack

Take yourself to a safe place…if you are driving, pull over.
Acknowledge to yourself that you are having a panic attack.
Don’t fight the feelings-don’t hold your breath.
Try to detach and just observe yourself, the feelings you are having.
Distract yourself by trying to focus on the outside world instead of your inside world.
Breathe deeply. This is the most important thing you can do. Breathe through your nose, into your stomach, and exhale slowly. This will either eliminate the panic attack completely, or drastically alleviate it.
Change your brainwaves. Carry an mp3 player with you, and listen to a brainwave entrainment recording, the second you think an attack is imminent. If you do this at the first sign or symptom, you can stop an attack in its tracks.
Once you’ve calmed yourself down, drink some water, eat something…your blood sugar levels may be off.
Try to incorporate a stress relief method into your daily routine. Once you’ve had a panic attack, you may have another, so eliminate any precursors that you can.

One of the simplest and most effective ways to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks is by stimulating your brainwave patterns into a relaxed state.

Brainwave entrainment can take you from an agitated state of mind to a relaxed state of mind, in as little at 6 minutes. Anxiety diminishes as you listen to specifically designed recordings that alter your state of consciousness.

With repeated use of these recordings, your brain will adopt the relaxed state as your normal state of mind and generalized anxiety will dissolve.

It all starts with you. Will you attract love this Valentine’s Day, or any other day for that matter, or are you feeling that you’ll never find a good mate?

Attracting love is no different than attracting anything else you want in life and brainwave entrainment can help you do that. Entrainment will rewire your brain for love and help you send the message out into the airwaves.

Everything is energy and energy has vibrational frequency. Your thoughts, conscious or unconscious are vibrational frequencies that you send out into the collective unconscious. What you send out is directly related to what you receive.

You’ll attract whatever you are vibrating at on a conscious and subconscious level.

If you are not attracting what or who you want, you need to take a look at what you may be sending out.

If you are depressed and don’t think too highly of yourself, you’ll attract depressed people who have little self-esteem and are just not very much fun to be around.

If you are strong, like yourself, and are self-assured, you’ll attract that healthy kind of person into your life.

Your thoughts, or more importantly, the feelings associated with those thoughts, determine whether you will find love, or not. Unconscious programming from years ago may be tainting what you are or are not attracting and this will need to be changed.

If you become aware of what you are thinking, you can change those thoughts and emotions and change who becomes attracted to you or not.

If you open yourself up to love and intimacy, you will attract it.

A Little Help From Brainwave Entrainment

Brainwave entrainment is a therapeutic self-help tool that will alter your dominant brainwaves to the frequency most compliable to rewrite your love script and to help you attract the love that you seek.

Entrainment will:

· promote a better energy flow between your body and your brain.

· With intention, re-program you mind, eliminating old patterns that have been holding you back from what you desire.

· Install new programs physically, in your gray matter, within ten days generating permanent neural networks within six to eight weeks, with a daily 30 minute session.

· Make you more emotionally present, promoting better emotional connections between you and someone else, enabling a better sexual experience.

· Increase your charisma.

· Make you “available” for love… you may have subconscious restraints that you don’t know about. Entrainment, in the meditative state automatically releases old patterns, or, as according to Abraham-Hicks,”floats your cork” back to your positive authentic state automatically.

· Increase your personal magnetism. If you feel better about yourself, people of like-mind will be attracted to you and visa versa.

· Enable you to send out positive energy which you will receive back in abundance.

Brainwave entrainment will help you attract love this Valentine’s Day, while sharpening your mind, heightening your senses, and changing your neural mind map, permanently if you wish.

Wouldn’t it be nice to attract someone who likes themselves for a change?
