Brainwave Entrainment Measuring Brain Wave Patterns For Power

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

One of the interesting things that I have been hearing nowadays is the use of the word patterns of power when it comes to issues of the brain, and the developments within the industries of psychology, mental doctors and the personal development industry is one that has reached leaps and bounds over the past few decades. What was only available in high tech labs in hospitals are now things that you can buy online, and that is something that is truly amazing to behold in this day and age. For one thing, more and more people are actually getting into the whole issue of the brainwave entrainment and pattern industry, and this is because they are actually quite taken by the results that have been issued by this use of this technology.

Many people all over the world are actually benefitting from this technology, and this is the kind of revolution that you need to pay attention to. One thing that you need to know is that when thinking about the potential of the brain, there are many things that we do not know about, and it is high time that we educate ourselves. The first key to open these doors is the discovery that the brain has patterns and these are patterns of power, in every sense of the word. What this means is that you are more than able to actually unlock the true potential of the brain and become the monster that you really should be, terrorising the world with your vast intelligence and this is not something that is far from the truth when you are talking about the brainwave entrainment industry.

Now, within a CD, you are more than able to actually empower yourself in almost any situation, and this can range from things like your own creativity to your own mental acuity, and these are some things that merely touch the tip of the ice berg. Measuring your own brainwave patterns and tuning them to make you a sensor of intelligence and leaning is something that we all can do now from the comfort of our own home and that is the truth of the matter no matter how you are going to look at it. All you have to do is look at the potential of the internet and from there, make the kind of assumption that you need to.

The kind of technology that is available for you to just buy off the shelf is quite amazing in all sense of the word, and this is what you need to do to be able to justify the purchase price, which in comparison, is quite small to some of the more bogus therapies that are available online. This works because it is based on some real technology that you can use on yourself. All you need to do is to make sure that you have the right conditions at home that you can leverage on to actually induce the kind of improvements that you need to see and make for yourself.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Brainwave Entrainment Doesn’t Everyone Snore?

One of the first questions that many of my patients ask me is, “Doesn’t everyone snore?” The answer to this question is “No, only about 40% of the adult population snores”. But I don’t think that’s what they are really getting at. What they are really asking is, “Why should I be concerned about my snoring, isn’t it normal?” The answer to this question is much more complex.

In some patients, snoring can be normal. This is referred to as “Primary Snoring,” and other than being bothersome to your sleep partner, it is probably safe (although a recent article published November 2008 in the journal “Chest” found that snoring alone can be an independent risk factor for daytime sleepiness and previous studies have suggested a weak association between nonapneic snoring and high blood pressure). However, patients with snoring are four times more likely to have sleep apnea, and it has been suggested that up to 30% of patients with snoring have sleep apnea. So the question ought to be “Does my snoring indicate that I have sleep apnea and if so, is sleep apnea serious?”

The answers are “maybe” and “yes” (but don’t be alarmed: sleep apnea is highly treatable). To determine whether your snoring is a symptom of sleep apnea, it is necessary to undergo a sleep study, during which nighttime breathing patterns are monitored and assessed. If the test concludes that you do have sleep apnea, your sleep physician will discuss treatment options with you. Left untreated sleep apnea can often lead to physiological and social problems, which can best be understood through an explanation of the sleep apnea process.

In essence, sleep apnea is when the airway collapses at night. In general, the patient is unaware that this is occurring because he/she is sleeping. The airway collapsing leads to brainwave arousals and oxygen drops in the blood, which in turn lead to disrupted sleep quality. When sleep quality is poor, it can lead to numerous cognitive issues such as daytime sleepiness, difficulty with concentration and memory, slowed reaction time, increased risk of motor vehicle accidents, emotional instability, irritability, etc. These oxygen drops and brainwave arousals also lead to increased risk of serious cardiac problems like high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, and heart attacks. They may also lead to strokes. And in addition to the physiological dangers, the snoring associated with sleep apnea can present social issues – from the embarrassment of snoring on an airplane or shopping mall bench to husband and wife sleeping in separate beds, occasionally even leading to divorce.

If you have snoring, it is imperative that you either speak with your primary care physician or make an appointment with a sleep physician.

Brainwave Entrainment How Radio Ruins Writers

music to relax your mind | brainwave technology
One of the biggest mistakes you can make as a writer is listening to the radio. I’ll explain why in just a moment.

Years ago I used to listen to the radio practically all day. I can still remember the DJ’s playing a tear jerking song every morning. You may remember it to… it was called ‘Your Song.’ And you could request the DJ play a particular song that spoke to you.

It usually was a romantic ballad that reminded the person who asked for it of a time when they were in love.

Songs like that have strong associations and bring back memories. Some sad, some happy. And that’s the problem with the radio. You have no real control over what you listen to.

And the music can trigger bad memories. Worse still some of the music you hear you can’t get out of your head for days if not weeks. Listen to Sugar, Sugar by the Archies and you’ll know what I mean. That means for most people it’s the old garbage in, garbage out reality. Like eating junk food.

It damages your brain, your emotional life and beyond. I seriously doubt if you’ll ever become better at anything if you listen to the radio. Plus all the time you spend listening to the radio you could be listening to something better.

Something that takes no more effort than turning on the radio and sitting back for easy listening.

And in the process you’ll gain a skill that will certainly give you a far better lifestyle than you have now…

I’ve discovered certain types of music can make your brain learn faster without all the usual effort.

One of this is Baroque music. Another, far more powerful is brainwave entrainment music.

When you find either record classic direct mail letters over the music. Then when you listen to these recordings you automatically remember them. It’s similar to the music on the radio that gets inside your head.

Only this time it helps you become a far better writer and you’ll make much more money. Learning to write more persuasively can and will upgrade your lifestyle. While listening to radio will downgrade it…

Start out recording a shorter letter or advert. make it around three minutes long and listen to it six times a day for three days.

Then go back and reread the letter you recorded and see how much of it is familiar to you. You’ll be amazed.

One of the best ways for you to improve your memory is to feed your brain with the proper supplementations and nutrients that will prevent the cell death and damage that old age affects. Vitamin B is one of the best things on the market that will be able to help you with your memory loss, because it gets directly to the brain and stimulates the neurons by delivery. There are many other types of brain food and supplements on the market that you can consider, all you need to do is to pop on down to your local healthcare department or store and start shopping.

Also, you would be able to improve circulation and lymphatic nodes in the brain by exercise. Physical activity is one of the best sort of activity that can help to improve your memory because of the chemical reactions that occur during the exercise and the benefits of an increased metabolic rate – which means higher levels of energy which will translate into much higher levels of mental focus during the day. All you need to do is to participate in some light exercises 2 – 3 times a week, and you will see the difference.

Also, you can try technology that is available on the market, consumer level brain equipment that you can download and use to increase and promote wavelengths in the brain. Brainwave entrainment and subliminal technology has its place in consumer self improvement circles as an alternative to mental regression therapies in professional psychological places. The good news about this is that technology like this is available freely on the internet for anyone to download and use, for a small price.

You can stimulate your mind directly everyday, with some simple repetition techniques that you can do on a daily basis. This includes repeating to yourself the things that you are most likely going to forget, and try to make yourself a list on a daily basis as well. These sort of simple mind exercises will help you improve the focus of your mind and allow your memory no to slide.

Last but not least, one of the more popular reasons why people tend to lose their memory is because of complacency, and this is in terms of the sort of activities that they are exposed to on a daily basis. If your work is repetitive or mundane, then you need to augment your day with some other activity that will allow your brain to be exercised. Doing crossword puzzles, reading a book or taking part in games are some of the things you can do to exercise your mind.

As you can see, these are some simple and easy ways for you to improve your memory and they can be done at any point of time. Some of these are available freely on the internet, and if you need more documentation, all you need to do is get online and conduct some thorough research on other techniques you can employ to improve your memory.

Brainwave Entrainment Relaxation Techniques for Anxiety – Learning How to Meditate

One of the best relaxation techniques for anxiety is meditation because people who are anxious and stressed out have not only minds but bodies that are anxious and stressed out. They may feel irritable, depressed, distracted, and suffer from all kinds of conditions ranging from fibromyalgia, insomnia, hypertension, and tension headaches.

In a few short minutes, the best meditation can help the body and the mind return to homeostasis, or to a balanced place where blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, muscle tension, digestion, and all of the other body systems, including the immune system can return to a normal healthy functioning state. In other words, the stress response is reversed, the mind calms, and the body heals itself.

Researchers have found that people who regularly meditate are able to reach these deeper levels of brainwave activity and enjoy deeper levels of rest after only 5 minutes of meditation compared to one to two hours for people falling asleep! That is powerful because it is when your body is at rest that it repairs itself, restores itself, and the immune system works most efficiently.

Mantra Meditation – A Relaxation Technique that Works

The power of mantra meditation is in its simplicity. Begin in a seated chair. It can be a recliner or any other type of chair. (Meditation is usually not done lying down because people tend to fall asleep.) During meditation, deeper levels of brain waves are activated, yet you will remain awake and aware. It is as if you are asleep but not sleeping.

Next, choose a word that you will repeat to yourself. I have found that it makes no difference what the word is. It could be ocean, sky, or your even own name. In my classes, I usually give a variety of suggestions such as peace, still, one, silent, love, serene, happy, ocean, calm, or now.

Once you are comfortably sitting in your chair, close your eyes. Sit quietly for about 30 seconds to let your mind settle before you begin saying the word. Repeat it softly in your head over and over to yourself at a very comfortable and easy pace, about once every two or three seconds:

One… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one… one…

I have found that ten to twenty minutes is about the optimum amount of time to meditate. However, if you only have five minutes before an important meeting, a test, or an eventful evening, then take those five minutes and enjoy meditating for that long. Any amount of time meditating is time well spent.

End your meditation by ceasing to continue repeating your selected mantra. Once you are through, take a while to return to normal consciousness. Allow yourself to remain seated; enjoying the peacefulness you have created for yourself. Don’t be in too much of a hurry to get back to daily activities or you’ll counteract the relaxation you’ve created.

That’s all there is to this type of meditation. There are a number of other useful and interesting ways to meditate, but I have found this one to be the simplest one to do and the easiest to teach to others. I don’t clearly understand why it works so well, but I stopped caring how or why it works many years ago. I care deeply that it works and this type of meditation definitely does.

One of my all time favorite subjects to talk about and dive deep into is the topic of starting a business. We have entered the Age of Aquarius which represents the teacher (and the teacher within). There is truly no better time to start a business and be a leader in your industry than right now.

The new generation of entrepreneurs is one that is indicative of bringing about more positivity to the world by promoting services that ultimately bring prosperity to people’s lives. It’s about living a holistic lifestyle, one that cares for the whole being (mind, body, and spirit). By using your expertise and life lessons as a practical product or service that enriches the lives of others, you can become part of the new playing field as a small business owner.

When I first returned to my entrepreneurial spirit, I was fumbling. I had a lot of things I wanted to share with the world, however I didn’t know where to start. The whole process seemed to overwhelm me, but after hiring a mentor and getting clear about what my gifts were (you have more than you could ever fathom), and how I could assist bringing about change in positive manner.

As a woman, I needed my business to satisfy me spiritually. I needed to feel “connected” to my services and to those I served. The foundation to a meaningful business is to be sure it satisfies you spiritually. Turning your gifts into a service and your story into a brand are two powerful ways to assure your business becomes your life purpose.

Here are three simple ways to get you started on creating the foundation to a meaningful business:

Document Your Lessons: Splurge on pocket size pads of paper that you can take with you anywhere. In these notebooks you should write down anything you learned that day, what topics of conversations engage you the most, what article/book or blog post inspired you and why, and anything else that uplifts your spirits and speaks to your soul. From there you can create your services and learn how to inspire others with your teachings.

Appreciate Hardships: When we are faced with hardships this is the cor fundamental to getting aligned with what really matters in life. Hardships pave the road to success because they innately bring us back to the sacred experience of life. The foundation of any business is about getting aligned with what truly matters to you; hardships yank you out of the noise and into the silence.

Learn More by Reading: The more knowledge and creativity you can expose your minds to, unlocks the door to many of your blocked talents. It is also the way to reopen old doors that have been closed for a long time as well as inspire our highest purpose to shine through. Leaders are readers, and readers are leaders. To set the foundation to be a leader in your industry, you must acknowledge those who were there before you and appreciate their talent. Then you can create your business with a unique twist.

Setting the foundation to a meaningful business is one of my favorite components to helping others find their higher selves. The foundation to anything you do, whether it’s training for a marathon, aspiring to do a 30 day yoga challenge, or simply to finish your degree, doing it with a purpose makes it more fun and well worth your efforts later in life. It is with this foundation that greatness is born. You are more fabulous than you ever imagined. Now it’s time to turn your gifts into a meaningful business.

Love & Success,

Angel

One in five people report having had an out of body experience. This figure may, or may, not be an accurate number. For one reason or another, some people may not acknowledge the occurrence(s). Many people assume, or convince themselves, that the “experience” was just a dream, daydream, hallucination, or some type of coincidental occurrence.

Often, those who have had an OBE (out of body experience) that occurs while sleeping will describe it as an extremely vivid dream. Many people that have actually been on an astral journey simply dismiss their “déjà vu” as mere coincidence. A lot of people do not realize that their consciousness may be leaving their physical body and entering an astral body causing these strange events. These individuals don’t know that they could be traveling in the astral plane, not merely dreaming or hallucinating.

The most commonly reported incidence of astral projection is derived from a “near death” experience or a surgical procedure. Frequently, surgical patients will tell about hovering or floating above “the action” and looking down on their physical bodies. Often, stories include bright lights, tunnels, visiting heaven, or seeing deceased loved ones. Sometimes, out of body experiences occur spontaneously, with no effort from the experiment. However, usually, the majority of astral travelers are able to willingly initiate an astral event at a specifically selected time. There are various methods for inducing astral happenings. If you would like to attempt astral projection, try following these three steps:

Relax – Find a comfortable place to lie down or sit back with your feet up. The area must be free of any distractions. It should be quiet and fairly dark (no bright lights). The area should not be too cold or too hot. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and remove any restrictive accessories. Close your eyes and relax.
Focus – Clear your mind. Concentrate on slowing down your body and your brain. You must let go of all thoughts and concerns. And, you cannot be fearful. With your eyes closed, focus on the blank, blackness that you see. Some astral travelers use recordings of binaural beats to influence their brainwave frequencies. You may feel some vibrations or slight tugging as you begin to make the transition. Some people find it helpful to visualize pulling themselves up with a rope, or “rolling out” of their body.
Transfer – See yourself leaving your physical body and entering your astral body. Some people are startled when they look down on their physical body. Often, this will cause their consciousness to leave the astral plane and return to the physical. If this happens, just relax and begin again when you are ready. Many beginners have a little difficulty inducing projection. You may have to make several attempts before succeeding.

Every out of body experience is unique. Every person is different. Therefore, each individual will have a different perspective regarding astral travel. Some experts say that astral events provide insight and add quality to life. Many people enjoy the experience, immensely, and practice projection at will, quite frequently.

Brainwave Entrainment Mind Over Matter: Mindflex Duel Game

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

One hot item on the toy market that is likely to be a hit this Christmas is the new Mindflex Duel game. In 2009 the original Mindflex game was released and as the first game of its kind, it became quite popular. The key difference of this new version is that it is designed for two players to compete against each other, but otherwise works based on the same concepts as the original.

The scientific principles that operate the game literally can be referred to as “mind over matter” or in other words, using the energy generated by brainwave activity to move an object. The object in this game is a light-weight foam ball. The player puts on the special headset that has sensors located in it that detect the wearer’s brain activity. By concentrating, this energy is picked up by the sensors and transferred to a small fan in the game console. The brainwave energy causes the fan to spin commensurately with the amount of activity detected. The spinning fan causes an upward air current which propels the ball up and can keep it “floating” depending on how continuous the player’s concentration level is.

The original Mind Flex consisted of an obstacle course for the player to mentally move the ball through. Mindflex Duel is laid out a bit differently because its objective is to successfully push the ball into the opponent’s end zone, but still uses this basic design. One player stands at each end of the console, which is shaped a bit like a bridge, and the headsets extend from it. Similar to the original, the console features such structures as the 3-ring flex tower, the verti-wheel, tilt-a-wall, flip-frame, a cannon and a basket goal.

The obstacles that come with the game, are not permanently attached to it so they can be placed and positioned in any way the players wish. Each one presents its own particular challenges to the mental concentration of the participant. A simple beginner course can be set up to start with, and gradually new obstacles can be added to make the game more of a challenge. There are several different modes of play for this one game; power push, mental marathon, race the lights, cortex collision, basket blaster, and freestyle. The latter two modes, can be played alone.

When playing Mindflex Duel, in competitive mode the player with the strongest brain wins really. Whether trying to propel the ball into the opponent’s end zone or competing to navigate through the obstacle course, racing against the lights or shooting baskets, the one who can generate the most mental energy and move the ball the most will conquer the other player. To help move the ball more, some people find it helpful to concentrate on something that takes more thought such as a math problem or recalling a memorized verse or such. It’s all about balancing concentration and relaxation.

It is already receiving rave reviews; one celebrated magazine has rated this exciting game as one of the “All-Time 100 Greatest Toys”. A science website has also ranked it as “one of the best kid’s toys for adults”, because of its complexity and inherent appeal to all ages.

Brainwave Entrainment The Wonders of Binaural Beats

One Heinrich Wilhelm Dove could be considered the father of binaural beats, having discovered them way back in 1839. Research on binaural beats followed soon after that and to where it is today in the scientific and personal development industry, the technology and the issues around it remained somewhat of a scientific obscurity until 134 years later, when one Gerald Oster published an article entitled “Auditory Beats in the Brain” (Scientific American, 1973).

Oster’s article was a landmark one. It sought to rediscover the wonders of binaural beats and through his exhaustive research, identified and assembled the lost sands of research that had been lost and left behind since Dove, offering fresh scientific insight, coupled with great laboratory evidence on the applications and tremendous potential of binaural beats.

What followed suit was a rediscovery on the use of binaural beats as an effective tool as a diagnostic and cognitive research as well into the areas of neurological development. At first, it was used to mainly discover the hidden secrets of the animal kingdom and how the animals located sound and how they focused on sound that was sometimes even beyond human ranges of hearing.

At first, when the attention of the benefits of these beats was turned to the human subject, it was a medical presumption that they would be used as a diagnostic tool for medical research into either brain impairments or mental developmental disorders. It was then discovered that the actual sensation or recognition of these beats appeared to have originated from the superior olivary nucleus of the brain, which meant it was within the cortical of the brain stem.

With this discovery, it was then that the term frequency following response was coined, when it was found that the cortical of the brain had the ability to control the billions of neurons within the cerebrum to fire in tandem an electromagnetic frequency capable of achieving superior functions of the brain that normally would not be available for self utilization.

What happens during the process of brainwave entrainment through the use of binaural beats is that certain parts of the brain that are either inert or not activated are then called upon. These frequencies allow these sections of the brain to come alive and thus give the end user accelerated functions that they would not normally have.

While this technology is contentious and there has been some conflicting scientific research on this, it has been proven by peer reviews and research studies that binaural beats work to a tee. Users who have been subjected to the therapy with visual stimulation and affirmation have noted that they experienced an almost euphoric perception of themselves and are able to attack problems with more zest. They also indicate better performance and a better tendency towards retaining information.

The various frequency ranges range from delta to gamma, in order of lowest to highest frequency ranges and have associations with meditation, accelerated healing, mental focus and high levels of creativity; just to name a few. These are just some of the wonders of binaural beats.

Brainwave Entrainment 3 Fun Activities To Improve Memory Easily

One activity you can consider doing is called mnemonics. This is the use of association to help you remember certain things that you would most likely forget. Many people are currently using this methodology to help them remember things more easily, and one of the larger groups of people who are using this technique almost naturally are students. This particular demographic tends to associate the things that they need to remember into song lines or create stories or poems around them. Not only is it fun, but it stimulates the mind to remember usually boring facts and figures in a different, more interesting way. This is just one of the more interesting methods that you can use to trick your mind to retain and recall certain information. One of the things you will realise is that you will never forget song lyrics and this is just one example of how the power of association can help you.

The other method that you can use of course is to use the power of sound and music. This is quite different from using the method of association. There is no association here but actually, the use of sound as a sort of tool to help you remember. There has been some scientific study to the fact that if there is music running in the background, particularly music you like, the brainwaves in your mind will actually be moulded into the wavelength that allows your brain to remember more and learn better. The type of music doesn’t really matter, but it has to be the sort of music that you like and this is really the key thing when it comes to trying to help to improve your memory with fun activities that will not seem to drain the very lifeblood from your mind.

Last but not least, you need to consider playing word games and memory games with other people, and this is the most effective way that you can use the factor of fun to add a little spice to your learning methods. This is actually one of the memory therapy methods that psychologists use to help their patients who have gone through trauma and help them remember better. When stimulated, the brain will be much more attuned to remember things, and this is the kind of thing that you need to have to enable your memory banks to act more efficiently and for you to stop forgetting things. Having fun games where you can interact with one another and help each other remember, and adding a little competitive element into it will certainly help you to remember all the things that you will normally forget and have some fun in the bargain.

These are the three main methods that you can use to improve your memory easily and the level of fun that they have will be a boon to help you remember things more succinctly. No one said that trying to improve your memory should be an activity that is dull and boring, and sometimes you need to ditch the routing and join the party to remember more.
