Brainwave Entrainment Insomnia Causes: Some Uncommon Insomnia Causes

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Out of so many, rarely do the uncommon insomnia causes get discussed. Insomnia is characterized by problems falling or staying asleep. It is a condition that tens of millions have.

Oftentimes, natural events in life such as natural aging and the weather are insomnia causes. Additional insomnia causes are from human reactiona towards events that can cause stress, anxiety and depression. The reason it goes over five hundred is that it is a symptoms of various other medical conditions as well. Rarely is it a condition in itself. Factors that can cause insomnia do come in numbers. Therefore, several can be causing a person’s insomnia at the same time.

Fatal Familial Insomnia (FFI)
One of the most rare insomnia causes is a disease called Fatal Familial Insomnia. FFI sufferers go on months of increasing insomnia which ends in death. Increasing insomnia develops into a point wherein the patient no longer gets to sleep.

It can showcase the effects of extreme sleep deprivation. Some FFI sufferers go through panic attacks, hallucinations and dementia after long periods of sleeplessness. A few even lose their ability to speak and a few motor functions.

FFI is a rare prion hereditary disease of the brain. An example of another prion disease would be madcow disease which was unheard of until recently. Similarly, FFI has been discovered in the late 1990’s. There is yet much to know about this disease and a cure is yet to be found.

Sensory-Motor Rhythm (SMR) deficiency
More recent studies regarding sleep have been chemical and biological in nature. The study of brainwaves leads to the discovery of other causes of insomnia.

Something athletes have in abundance that insomniacs and people with ADHD don’t is SMR. Sensory-Motor Rhythm (SMR) is the brainwave that is used for passive intellectual activities.

Increasing SMR of insomniacs resulted into deeper sleep and more energy throughout the day. It also helped reduce anxiety.

Vitamins
In general, vitamins are good. They are an important part of a healthy diet. However, too much or too little of some vitamins can cause insomnia.

Vitamin B12 deficiency (pernicious anemia) is caused by too little vitamin B12 in the diet. It could also be caused by the inability of the body to absorb it. It’s one of few insomnia causes related to vitamin deficiency. This vitamin deficiency is rather serious if left untreated. It causes the production of red blood cells in the body to decrease. That is why it is called pernicious anemia.

Vitamin B1 (thiamin) is important in converting carbohydrates, fats, and alcohol into energy. It cleanses the body of toxins and prevents damage to the heart and nervous system. However, taking more than the recommended 1 mg a day is not a good idea. Too much of vitamin B1 results in toxicity. Insomnia is included among symptoms of toxicity.

There are various vitamins and minerals that can help people get a good night’s sleep. Examples of which are vitamin B6 and vitamin C. Too much or too little of anything is bad. This is also true for these vitamins which the body needs to stay healthy. They can be insomnia causes.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Out of all the self improvement products, that are on the market these days, that claim to be the best for personal growth, the only one that seems to remain the most effective is brainwave entrainment.

To put it in basic terms, brainwave entrainment is the process of changing your brainwave frequency to achieve a desired state of mind. This is easily accomplished by listening to specifically designed audio recordings that are meant for a specific result. When your brain is introduced to an outside frequency, whether it be sound or light or any other source, it will adjust itself to that frequency. There are individual recordings available and each one is specifically developed with only one result in mind such as weight loss, or relaxation, or addiction help, or out of body experiences, and there is a wide variety of personal development categories that the brain entrainment audios are available for.

Over the years scientists and engineers have developed these recordings to work perfectly. It would be great if everyone had the chance to try out this amazing technology at least once to find out how it can help them improve their lives.

How does brainwave entrainment differ from self hypnosis?

One of the most important benefits of using brainwave entrainment as opposed to self hypnosis is that there is virtually no training required. To use self hypnosis you would have to spend a great deal of time learning and developing the skills that are needed. where with brain entrainment audios you simply relax, put on a set of headphones, listen and let the audios do their work.

Secondly, self hypnosis is kind of a general form of self improvement. Where on the other hand brainwave entrainment targets a specific concern. There will be a specific audio that is designed to target a specific area of your life that you want to improve. There is no guessing involved. For example, if you want to improve your concentration you simply choose the concentration audio, if you have an addiction that you need help with, you choose the addiction help audio, and so on. It’s as simple as that.

Best Practices:

You probably don’t even realize it but you are most likely using a form of brain entrainment every day. For example, if you listen to a particular song several times you are “entraining” your brain in one way or another. The difference with entrainment for personal growth is that you are aware that you are doing it and you’re targeting a specific concern.

To get the best results and the most out of brainwave entrainment, you need to listen to the audios on a regular basis. At least a few minutes four times a week will get you the best results.

How fast you see results will vary from person to person and depend on the depth of the problem that you are targeting. It is possible to see results after only one or two sessions but realistically could take a couple of weeks. You just need to be persistent and patient. Good things will happen.
Things you should know about brainwave entrainment:

If you’ve been looking for ways to improve certain areas of your life then brainwave entrainment might just be the answer that you are looking for. It is a very simple yet very powerful tool.

Years of training are NOT needed to reap the benefits of brain meditation whether you are trying to lose weight, reduce your stress level, increase your energy or interested in things like astral projection, etc. All things are possible through brainwave entrainment.

For most of us our brains operate far below maximum performance. Using brainwave entrainment we can vastly improve our efficiency and performance levels.

Types of audios used for brain entrainment:

The two main types of tones that the mp3 brainwave entrainment audios come in are called “binaural beats” and “isochronic tones”.

There is not a huge amount of difference between these two. It’s mostly a matter of personal preference. Binaural beats work more effectively for some people while isochronic tones work better for others.

If you are deciding on which type to choose for the first time then I would recommend the isochronic tones as they have proven to be more effective than the binaural beats.

How to use the brainwave entrainment audios:

The biggest obstacle that most of us will have when using the brain entrainment audios is having the ability to clear our minds, relax and focus. This is key to having an effective brain meditation session. I can’t stress this enough. It may take you a few attempts to accomplish this but don’t give up. Stick with it. Be persistent and patient.

Find a nice quiet area where there will be no distractions and get comfortable and relax. Sometimes something as simple as just concentrating on your breathing can help you relax and focus.

Put on a set of headphones and let the audios do their work. If you are using binaural beats then headphones are required. They are not necessary when using isochronic tones but I would highly recommend using them anyway so that you get the most effective results.

Summary:

Thanks to the technology that has gone into brainwave entrainment audios, meditation has become a simple process that anyone can master quickly and easily. Years of training are no longer required. All you need to do is get comfortable, relax and listen.

This technology has real life changing power. It has been tested and proven successful time and time again and has been around for quite some time. It is also widely used by NASA, countless fortune 100 companies and by leading experts around the world.

I hope this article has been helpful and maybe answered some questions that you may have had about brainwave entrainment. Remember, if you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results. Nothing will change until you take some action!

Our subconscious mind plays a very vital role in our lives. Our emotions and responses to certain things are to a large extent controlled by it. Even over the physical behavior the mind plays some kind of control. Since long the human mind has been a very interesting subject for scientists, we are slowly beginning to understand all the complexities of the mind.

How Self Help Cds Works

Using A Self Help Hypnosis CD or audio file can very effectively be used to plants suggestions into your subconcious mind in order to bring positive change into any area of your life you wish to improve. It´s a really effective tool to Improve mind power. More people should take advantage of this if they knew the benefits that can be gained.

2 Powerful Motivational Audio Techniques

A self Help Hypnosis CD or mp3 file usually contains a recording performed by a professional hypnotherapist. It has been specifically designed to achieve a specific goal. You will hear a voice that gives you specific commands and suggestions in order to remedy a problem you need help to get rid of.

There is another type of motivational audio tool called brainwave entrainment. It works by simply listening to a series of sounds pulses that stimulates the mind to achieve a desired effect. This repeating sound pattern has been scientifically proven to have a positive effect on your mind.

These two methods can be combined in order to produce amazing effects.

They can help with weight loss, smoking addiction, curing phobias, improve mind power to become smarter, just about anything you need help with.

Our society has become overworked, overstressed and burdened with many issues and concerns throughout our daily lives. One major side effect is insomnia or lack of sleep. Our minds are racing and are hard pressed to let go of the daily issues with many looking for the answer to the question;”I need something to help me sleep”.

Certain foods can trigger responses in the brain to aid in setting off the chain reaction to get your body to relax and place you into a restful sleep. Tryptophan is the amino acid found in dairy products and other foods like turkey to assist the body in creating serotonin in the brain. If you have had that sensation to take a nap on Thanksgiving after a full meal, Tryptophan may be the reason. The recommendation of having a warm glass of milk might just be what you need to send you into a slumber.

Others will look at a pharmaceutical approach to assist them in their quest to rest their minds and bodies in preparation for the next day. You can see many marketing advertisements on TV, radio and in magazines, promising to provide the silver bullet to your insomnia. Of course, these ads are always followed up with various disclaimers listing numerous potential side effects. Some of these side effects may even be worse than the issue you are having.

Still others are taking a more holistic and maybe even spiritual approach to the issue. Meditation and relaxation techniques are more traditional methods to align mind and body to create a sense of calm and internal peace to train themselves to take more control over their sleep issues. Some are very successful and can see immediate results, while others struggle to learn the various techniques and skills.

One concept known as brainwave entrainment helps the brain relax by subjecting low range tones called binaural beats through stereo headphones or ear buds if you prefer. The tones being transmitted can help the brain respond accordingly depending upon the frequencies being heard.

In conclusion, if you are still asking the question; “Is there anything that can Help me sleep?” you can certainly try the turkey sandwich and warm glass of milk. If insomnia is something that is an ongoing issue you are wrestling with, brainwave entrainment might be something to consider. The concept of binaural beats has been around since the 1800’s and the technique is still being studied, but it may be a way to get you to bed for a great night sleep instead of watching the late night infomercials.

Our professional and personal lives today are filled with problems and they’re hard to get out of our minds. It seems like we can never turn our minds away from all of the problems and negative thoughts. One way to deal with this problem is to take time every day to listen to stress relief music while meditating.

In order to achieve real and lasting results, you must listen to stress relief music that is specifically designed for meditation. This means that the music must be able to reduce brainwave frequencies lower through the Alpha (1-4Hz)and Theta (4-8Hz)ranges. These are the ranges that provide the most relaxation for your mind and body.

If you have the persistence and available time, you can take classes or instruction in yoga and Tai Chi. Both of these methods can be productive but they also can take a few years to learn and practice in order to achieve real and last results.

If you don’t have the time and want or need more immediate results, brainwave entrainment or binaural beats can be the answer. Binaural beats can be embedded in stress relief music while meditating.

Binaural beats are a method of inputting different frequencies into each ear while wearing headphones. The idea is to input, let’s assume, 200 Hz into one ear and 210 Hz into the other ear. The brain “hears” both these frequencies and adjusts itself to the frequency differential between the two. In other words a “third” frequency is induced in the mind. It’s not actually a new frequency, but the brain just sees it that way.

Therefore, it is possible to adjust the frequency differential and cause the brain to assume whatever meditative state you want.

The advantages of binaural beats when embedded in stress relief music are:

Easy to Learn
Do not take years of practice
Can achieve immediate results
Can be done practically anywhere
Enable to achieve deep meditative more quickly
No side effects as you might have with drugs

Our moods depend on a complicated interplay of factors, but the truth remains that some of us are more prone to mood variations than others. Depression and anxiety are among the most common mood disorders, and those that suffer these conditions may feel they are more easily influenced by negative emotions and environmental cues. Do you cry easily during movies? Is a negative encounter at the bank likely to cause you to stress for the entire day? Do you have difficulty lifting yourself out of a depressing mood? Everyone struggles with a bad mood from time to time, but if you want to gain greater control over your mood, there are actually natural mood elevators available to you.

Natural remedies for mood elevation include B Vitamins, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, St. John’s Wort, Lavender, and even sound therapies.

B Vitamins

B Vitamins are known to provide a boost to your immune system while also providing natural mood enhancement properties. Some B Vitamins are even converted into serotonin which is a naturally occurring neurotransmitter (brain chemical) that is associated with feelings of happiness. Excellent sources of B Vitamins include lean meats, bananas, beans, and potatoes.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids

Omega 3 Fatty Acids have received a lot of attention in health news over the past decade. In fact, these fatty acids are great for heart health and can help combat depression. Cold-water oily fish such as salmon, anchovies, and sardines are great sources for Omega 3 Fatty Acids, but you can also find these acids as a supplement in many products including yogurt.

St. John’s Wort

St. John’s Wort is a commonly used herbal supplement for everything from a topical remedy for wounds to a treatment for depression. In fact, it has been used for hundreds of years in the treatment of depression and is easily accessible at your local drug store.

Lavender

Used in aromatherapy to improve relaxation, lavender releases an essential oil that is also an effective mood elevator.

Sound Therapy

Finally, extensive research has shown that sound therapies can target brainwave patterns to improve mental states. Combined harmonics and subliminals can improve mood and motivation just by listening to the sounds. Depression may be the result of poor sleep, lack of interest in our usual activities, fatigue, or a general sense of dissatisfaction. Sound therapies help to change an individual’s mood state, prevent depression, and improve motivation and relaxation.

Our minds are bombarded daily with incoming stimulation that have the potential to move us. Stress has become an accepted part of our existence. We live in the “age of stress” and for the more sophisticated individual, it is referred to as angst. Pharmaceutical drugs are increasingly on the rise, and being prescribed to many young adults creating a dependency at a young age and leading to serious side effects that require more pharmaceutical drugs.

Eastern teachings use their own psychic screening known as meditation. Meditation reduces stress and anxiety, improves happiness, increases self-esteem, strengthens the immune system, improves the functioning of the brain, and slows down the aging process. Meditation does this by stimulating brain waves. Brain waves are at the root of all our thoughts and emotions, and therefore our behavior. If we take control of our brain waves, we take control of our reality. We can literally become the masters of our destiny, rewrite our subconscious programming, and consciously create the person we want to become.

You don’t need to meditate for years in order to enter the same level of consciousness that monks do. There are binaural sounds you can listen to that put you in different brain waves. I recommend Kelly Howell’s Scared Ground that move you into different level of consciousness.

Beta Wave (12 – 38 HZ)

We are in beta when we are awake, engaged in logical tasks, reasoning, and exercising judgement. Beta waves are critical for problem solving, and responding to the world. However, beta is also associated with stress, anxiety, and feeling wired. All states that are mentally fast paced ineffective for dealing with the complexities of the world. You can’t respond to a stressful life by being in a stressful state or brain wave.

Alpha Wave (8-12 HZ)

Alpha is often referred to as the bridge between the conscious and the subconscious mind. It is associated with relaxation, calmness, being grounded, and can be understood as being relaxed and aroused at the same time. The term alpha male and female refer to this brain wave, and not the beta wave we are led to believe. Alpha waves improve concentration, memory and learning. There’s fantastic program called the Silva Mind Control Method that uses alpha waves and guided imagery to rewire the subconscious mind.

Theta Wave (4-8 HZ)

Your deep seated beliefs, programming and unconscious patterns dwell in theta. The border between alpha and theta is the optimal range for reprogramming your subconscious mind and for visualization. People who practice the law of attraction enter the alpha-theta range and visualize the future they want to manifest. Hypnotists can achieve incredible results in self transformation by putting their clients in the theta state and using guided imagery. Theta can be experienced as deep relaxation, and understood as that moment you enter REM. In theta, there is a deep oneness between yourself and other beings.

Delta Wave (0-4 HZ)

Delta waves are associated with the deepest states relaxation, healing, restoration, and said to be the bridge between the conscious and universal mind. As infants we were regularly in delta, however, as we get older we tend to go there less. That could be linked to many factors such as our lifestyle, diet, smoking/drinking habits, and emotional patterns. Your ability to enter delta and rejuvenate yourself is directly liked to your immune system.

Gamma Wave (40 – 100 HZ)

Lighting produces gamma waves and so does your brain, although they’re not the same. Gamma waves in the brain are associated with peak performance, and super learning and can be understood as the feeling of being blessed or having grace. Experienced monks have said that gamma waves lead to compassion, incredible memory, and impeccable self-discipline. People who are depressed are usually suffering from low gamma waves.

By meditating three times a day for 15-20 minutes, you can significantly improve your happiness, self-esteem, and rewire you brain for success. In my experience, the best technique I found is to put myself in the alpha-theta state, and vividly imagine the type of person I want to be and the future I want to create, and act as if it has already happened. The brain can’t tell the difference between a real experience and one vividly imagined. Use it to create the reality you want.

Our mind truly is an instrument and our thoughts are the plucking of the range of strings that vibrate and resonate with experiences equal to each string’s domain. There are strings that vibrate from our soul and beyond. Their power transcends time and all limitations. Their vibrations carry the songs of our dreams into the heart beat of our everyday living.

Then there are strings that vibrate a heightened alert in our physical world to help us choose between fighting or taking flight from any enemy that may threaten our survival.

There is a range of strings that vibrate a lack of self worth, fear and self doubt. As these songs dominate our days and sabotage our dreams, we struggle to expand our ability to engage the strings and chords that can facilitate our progress. These dissonant compositions have become second nature, being played without conscious intervention or effort. Only information that supports these misbelief strings feed our awareness through the broadcasting of limiting thoughts.

When we play a new and empowering belief-song long enough, our brain learns and continues to perform it subconsciously as a foundation layer adding to the harmony. Hence we can enjoy it’s wisdom while consciously entertaining the next melody. If we played the songs of love, abundance and freedom well and frequently enough, they will continue to play as they are moved into our subconscious, so we can focus on the creation of adventure tunes to the backdrop of a forever expanding personal symphony, enriching our lives.

So what are these songs and how do we compose them? These songs include the lyrics of our potential sung as reality in the moment. They include the groove of a dynamic personality keen to transform and entangle the beat of a new future. These songs become a melody through language of new empowering beliefs and the rhythm of being those beliefs.

Our songs must inspire. We must be in the joy of their repetition. Sublime it is, to be in the anticipation of the subsequent imminent dance of pleasure filled sensory immersion of new experiences.

As our thoughts fire many times per second, a pattern emerges revealing our quality of thinking. The now measurable frequency of thinking (Brainwaves*;) is coherent with multiple levels of thinking in three segments; Conscious Mind (Alpha, Beta, Gamma), Subconscious Mind (Theta) and even Unconscious Mind (Delta).

Life is soup of musical notes and beats constantly taking dynamic form by our imagination. May our musical lessons transform us into master performers on the stage of life. Lets create the music for the dances we desire by accessing our deeper mind through the brainwaves of strings.

Learn to play your instrument, be the maestro of your life. You are the composer and performer able to entertain your soul and many others.

Brainwave Entrainment How to Hypnotize Someone – Conversational Hypnosis Techniques

Our mind is said to be as vast as our universe. Everything in our brain has a function that is supposedly works for our advantage. One of the most intriguing functions of our brain is to how you can hypnotize someone.

Hypnotism is the art of letting a person into a trance. Hypnotism has been used since ancient times, however, many has condemned this due to some people’s improper use and their wrong impressions and understanding regarding this natural phenomena.

Hypnosis is somewhat similar with sleepwalking and dreaming (lets not forget that Hypnosis comes from a Greek word Hypnos which means sleep).

However, hypnosis is so much different with sleep since people that are hypnotized can actually talk, write, walk or even eat (upon the hypnotizer’s prerogative) and they are fully aware of this most of the time.

Here are some of the tips I got from the net on how to hypnotize someone. This is just a basic technique that you can use if you want to try hypnotizing someone:

1. First, you have to make sure that your subject is in a comfortable state. You can let him sit in a chair or let him lie down, just make sure you won’t let him sleep or else your attempt will be put into waste.

2. According to my research, you have to make the brainwave pattern of your subject to slow down into alpha, theta or delta.

3. After doing such, you can now ask questions to your subjects. Make sure that you have video camera or normal voice recorder during the entire session.

This can help you in getting all the necessary information needed in theorizing the root causes of your subject’s problems. Also, noting everything s/he said can be an advantage should the recorder or camera went berserk.

Hypnotizing someone is not as easy as it seems. You have to have that willingness and exact concentration to be able to achieve great results.

To know more information on how to hypnotize someone, you can check Igor Ledochowski’s digital book ‘Conversational Hypnosis’.

Brainwave Entrainment Limo Rental Gets Dentists to Attend Convention

Our local dentistry convention is famous for one thing: Getting dentists to attend is like pulling teeth.

Last year, only thirty-seven percent of dentists attended the event in LA. Thirty-seven percent. It’s supposed to be a fun, informative event. There are continuing education seminars on the latest practices, talks on cutting edge research, freebies, and lots and lots of food. There was so much food left over last year, organizers were able to host a food kitchen with its leftovers — for a whole month.

And they still have some cake left over in the freezer.

So as organizers got together to plan this year’s event, they wondered if they should just cancel it for the first time since Pearl Harbor. Then a brainwave happened.

Someone came up with the idea of renting limos. No one was sure how to use them exactly, but everyone loves limos. So they called some limo rentals to ask some questions and get an action plan going.

This is what they came up with. The theme of this year’s convention would be “Dentistry: Bridge to Stylin'” Okay, no one said dentists were creative geniuses. If they were, they wouldn’t have become dentists. The point is, they promoted the event by going around in limousines and parking in front of dentistry clinics in LA. When dentists and technicians left for the day, they’d invite them in to the limo for some appetizers and they’d promote the event. They’d drive around and ask them questions to see what their areas of interests were. They then pitched the different seminars accordingly.

Then, each person filled out a contest form. Each winner would receive a free limo ride, complete with appetizers, bar and music. Here’s the clincher: To find out who won, they’d need to attend the convention.

Oh, and was it mentioned that there would be limo rides from the convention parking to the convention center?

The brainwave worked. Eighty-five percent of local dentists attended the event. They really attended. They weren’t just there in body. They were involved, listening to seminars, asking questions, and making excellent suggestions as to how to make future conventions more relevant.

Some detractors called the limos a silly gimmick, but they’re missing the point. The limo accomplished two things. First, limos are fun. They let dentists and dental technicians know that they would have a good time at the convention. More important, they showed that consider dental workers are important, special. Everyone wants to feel special.

So congratulations to the contest winners. Next year’s contest winner will win a horse.

Just kidding.
