Brainwave Entrainment Stop Worrying About The Holidays Using Brainwave Entrainment

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Preparing for the holidays has to be one of the most stressful times in our lives-and we do it over and over again, every year. Brainwave entrainment is a clinically proven technology that can ease you through this tough time and who knows, you might even enjoy the season, for a change.

Your thoughts and emotions are vibrations of energy and thus, have a direct effect on how your life is going. What you think about and how you feel about those thoughts, determines what you experience.

The holidays are rife with financial worry– that’s a no brainer, but we impose other worries on ourselves that can take all the joy out of the season as fast as you can say, “pass the antacid, please.”

Should we buy for Uncle Harold, or the mailman, and does Grandma like little pig ornaments anymore? What do we serve for the big meal–apple pie or mince? How many people are coming? Who’s staying overnight? Is everybody going to get along? Should we get the carpet cleaned? How much eggnog is too much? Will we have to travel? Why are we packing on weight like a sperm whale? When are we going to get the gifts wrapped? Heck, when are we going to find the time, not to mention the money, to buy the gifts?

When your thoughts and emotions are running non-stop, with anxiety, without a mental break, your body is on high alert. It feels like it is under attack, and it is. A steady rush of cortisol, a stress related hormone, permeates every cell of your body. You can’t sleep, you crave carbohydrates and mindlessly pack unwanted pounds– around your middle, all the while killing your immune system-or almost. If everything keeps on going as it is, you’ll have a full blown (no pun intended) cold, a few cold sores, an extra chin, and a migraine from hell, by the time the big day comes.

Stop worrying.

Brainwave entrainment is an auditory tool that introduces specific sound patterns to your brain, stopping the overproduction of cortisol, as you rest and listen to a recording. It takes less than 6 minutes for your brain to “clamp” onto the sound pattern, mimicking the design, altering your brainwave frequency, eliminating your anxiety.

In less than six minutes, your breathing pattern will change from fast and shallow, to deep and restorative. Feel-good hormones will flood your mind and body, and maybe, for once in a long time, you’ll feel relaxed, and relieved.

Brainwave entrainment can help you stop worrying about the holiday season. After all, the holiday season isn’t just for everyone else– it’s for you too.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Pregnancy is an electrifying time in a woman’s life UNTIL… The pregnancy symptoms creep in! And, boy, can they painfully alter your daily routines and way of life. Many people may try to assure you that it’s only temporary, but let them temporarily go through what you’re going through! It’s like Einstein said in his theory of relativity, “A day with a beautiful woman can seem like a minute, while a minute with your hand on a burning stove can seem like a lifetime.”

The first step is accepting that you’re having these symptoms. Don’t fight them. The second step is to figure out how to make them bearable while not allowing these symptoms to affect you and your baby’s health.
Let’s briefly take a look at the top ten pregnancy symptoms:

1. Morning sickness – chew on crushed ice cubes and/or popsicles.

2. Headaches – rest when able and use the aromatherapy remedy for sinus congestion below.

3. Sinus congestion – use a mixture of lavender, eucalyptus and spearmint oil and heat in a bowl of hot water. The aromatic molecules will drift up and gently do their work as you relax. This works for headaches as well.

4. Fatigue – Drink lots of water, and rest whenever possible. You need it!

5. Sensitivity to smells – find a mild soap that you like the smell of. Wrap the soap in a handkerchief in the evenings and cover your nose throughout the day when the smells become unbearable – like at the supermarket, or when someone is brewing a pot of coffee.

6. Heavy breathing – learn pregnancy breathing techniques

7. Backache – Get some pregnancy yoga asanas to help relieve backaches and ask for massages.

8. Leg cramps – put a metal spoon on the area, and the symptoms will go away

9. Difficulty sleeping – purchase a pregnancy meditation cd.

10. Depression – purchase a guided meditation cd that uses suggestive relaxation and positive awareness techniques. Music therapy can help as well.

Although there are a multitude of other pregnancy symptoms, these are the most common, as well as some of the most difficult to deal with. Many of the symptoms go hand in hand, such that if you have morning sickness, you’re likely sensitive to smells, are experiencing severe fatigue as well as headaches and sinus congestion due to the amount of vomiting. And if you’re suffering from these symptoms, you are probably experiencing difficulty sleeping, which can cause depression.

Beyond the remedies above, the best plan of action is to delegate, delegate, and delegate. As a modern woman, you probably take on more than you can handle, and that is a no-no during pregnancy. Stress is the leading cause of illness, and pregnancy stress is no exception and can cause many problems.

A good example is the thought of a lemon. If you can imagine a lemon, and now cut the lemon in half. Take that half a lemon in your hand and go ahead and bite into it. Can you feel saliva building in your mouth? It was only a thought. And all the crazy thoughts of what you need to do in the future, what should have been done in the past take over your mind, which can negatively affect your body, just as the “thought” of the lemon takes over your mind and affects a response in your body.

Delegate responsibilities and relax as much as possible. Simply lying down in bed does not mean you’re relaxing. It can actually cause more stress than can do good if you’re lying there focused on what needs to be done or what should have been done. What you need to learn to do is relax your mind while delegating many of your normal chores to others. You should focus on the health and happiness of your pregnancy.

There are many great relaxation techniques and pregnancy meditation programs that you can purchase online, as well as breathing techniques and meditative brainwave music to help you relax. Listen to sample tracks and find one that works best for you and use it fully during your pregnancy so that you can have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Brainwave Entrainment Praying From The Heart Using Brainwave Entrainment

Praying from the heart transcends religion, science and mysticism. Our prayers always come true, are answered, when we focus on our heart and feel gratitude that our desires already manifested. Communicating with God, the Source, Universal Energy, has to be done in the right vibration and that frequency is the passageway between your conscious and unconscious mind.

Brainwave entrainment, a scientifically-proven neurological tool that entrains your brainwaves to a specific frequency, can alter your consciousness and enhance your heart-felt prayers. Achieving this state can take a great deal of time on your own. Entrainment can help you transmit your prayer quickly and effectively, by activating the parts of your brain that have direct access to your Source.

The power of prayer comes from the feeling evoked from the words you speak and not from the words themselves.

The emotion behind your desire is what is communicated to the Divine.

That feeling is what directly accesses your body, other people, and the creative forces of your world.

Your prayers have already been answered.

All scenarios already exist, in a different vibrational level than you are conscious of, and it is up to you to choose what version of events you want to manifest in your waking life.

Praying for a desire is choosing a scenario. If you pray from your heart, evoking the feeling of that desire, and from a place of gratitude, your prayer will come forth into the third dimension. It has no choice.

By the Universal Law of Attraction, the vibrational frequency of the feeling of your prayer has to be matched by a like frequency.

This is how you create your reality, consciously or unconsciously, praying or not praying. Most of the time, you attract what you focus upon or by how you feel, by default.

Prayer is a feeling that you transmit to “All-That-Is” and the Collective Unconscious.

Telling (by emoting from your heart) Universal Energy that you are grateful for the manifestation of your prayer, ensures the manifestation of your prayer.

Praying from the Heart Using Brainwave Entrainment

· Choose an entrainment session that uses the theta brainwave frequency, which directly connects you to the higher dimensions of your Source.

· Find a quiet place where you will not be interrupted.

· Think about what it is you want to achieve with your prayer. Think about how it would feel to have your prayer realized.

· Shut your eyes, regardless of what kind of entrainment you use, and focus on the sound of the pulses.

· After a short time, your consciousness will begin to alter. There will be a shift.

· Don’t try to stop any thoughts that pop up. Watch them, in your mind’s eye, and let them flow away. If you don’t engage these thoughts, less and less will show up.

· Keep focusing on the pulses and picture the area around your heart.

· Now, in this space that directly communicates with your Source, imagine what it would feel like to already have your prayer answered, and how grateful you are.

· Stay with this feeling.

· Before you know it, the session will be over. Time is distorted in this state of consciousness.

· Once the session is over and you go about your day, remind yourself of how grateful you are for the manifestation of your prayer.

Brainwave entrainment is a very powerful tool that can enhance your heart-based prayer, helping your prayers to come true. When you embody the feeling of your prayer and especially if you are grateful, you will attract that reality, the physical world mirroring your higher dimensional world. The feeling you send, coming from your heart, transmitting to the Source, is instrumental in you receiving what you pray for.

Practicing meditation while using binaural beats is a superior way to restructure the psyche, and free binaural beats samples are available for you to do just that. But first, you must learn exactly how powerful these beats can be for improving your mental health.

These kind of binaural sounds are known as brainwave entrainment, which translates to mean that your particular brain will function within a vast array of distinct frequencies throughout the time of this practice. These kinds of wavelengths have an impact how your mind works in a very dynamic way. Hearing these types of tones continuously will alter the subconscious of an individual, which has a direct impact on their thoughts and overall mental activity.

Any time a human being practices this dynamic method of meditation, specific brainwaves can actually be transformed from being active to inactive and or vice versa. As an example, if you happen to suffer from the symptoms of mental anxiety and in addition you experience fear on a continual basis, you actually can listen to a binaural beat that is created to successfully deactivate the part of your brain associated with these issues. This, however, will only come about with constant use, however you are going to find that the change begins to come about quite quickly. The more you perform meditation in this manner, the weaker your anxiety and fear becomes. Basically, you are reconditioning your thought process, which is the reason this is named brainwave entrainment.

Numerous people choose to meditate to binaural beats for a very long period of time, whilst other individuals meditate on a daily basis for a brief twenty minutes. To acquire the best results, at least one half hour every day is advisable. It is crucial to mention that not all beats are identical. The sound of the tones would depend on the unique beat that you are listening to. Some of the beats are played coupled with songs and others aren’t. As you pay attention to the audio tracks, your brainwaves will gradually set themselves to perform at the same exact level as the audio you’re listening to. Your psyche is then in sync with the actual tones that you are hearing instead of being filled by individual roaming thoughts. This is exactly when your level of consciousness is changing. Every different beat focuses on a different form of meditation. Every one beat is designed for a specific purpose.

Binaural beat brainwave entrainment should certainly be used to discover the brains maximum potential without the usage of prescriptions or detrimental chemicals. This is an ultra powerful form of meditation that has improved the mental health as well as changed the existence of a great majority of people and can be used effortlessly with extraordinary results. Binaural beats are recommended for a large number of causes. There are way too many to name here, but some popular purposes are drug addiction, losing weight, panic disorder, social anxiety and mental health.

Brainwave Entrainment Practicing Meditation and Affirmations

Practicing meditation and affirmations are two of the most powerful ways to change lives, but research suggests that they are even more effective when used together. In 2004, neuroscientists used brain scans to show that meditation can actually change the way the mind works. The study compared two groups of people during meditation – inexperienced college students and Buddhist monks with over 10,000 hours of practice. All of the participants were asked to generate a feeling of compassion toward the universe while meditating.

Results showed that the monks underwent an increase in the production of gamma waves, in levels up to 30 times that of the other participants. The left prefrontal cortex – the seat of positive emotions – lit up with activity, swamping the activity of the right frontal cortex – the seat of negative emotions. Surprisingly, the brains of the monks had been trained through meditation to respond with compassion when they saw suffering. This means that the mind can actually be trained to respond in certain ways, just as the body can be trained to do Yoga or Qigong.

How Meditation and Affirmations Work Together

• The conscious mind, or the logical, thinking part of the brain, does tasks, such as solving math problems or reading maps. It represents the moments when the brain waves are in a beta state or wide awake. This is the time when the mind is focused, tense, alert, or worried; and it can hold no more than six or seven pieces of information at one time.

• The subconscious mind is the part of the brain that makes associations and determines reactions. It contains fear, wishes, worry, habits, and personality traits. The conscious mind, in a waking state, does not easily allow access to the subconscious. For affirmations to be effective, they must bypass the conscious mind and enter the subconscious mind.

• The subconscious is most susceptible to suggestions when relaxed, or just before falling asleep, or waking up – the alpha and theta brainwave states. Because it cannot distinguish between reality and fantasy, the subconscious can be successfully re-programmed with affirmations and visualizations at these times.

Conclusion

In addition to visualization, and traditional styles of meditation, music with binaural beats is sometimes used to induce alpha brainwaves. Inquire with local Yoga teachers about the amount of time they address meditation in a typical class. Some Yoga studios have specific meditation classes. Some audio recordings even contain subliminal affirmations. However, regardless of the style or place chosen, everyone can benefit from practicing meditation and affirmations.

Post traumatic syndrome is also known as post-concussive syndrome. It can easily be confused with Post traumatic stress disorder but is fundamentally a different diagnosis. Post-concussive syndrome or PCS, which used to be known as shell shock is the set of symptoms experienced after a concussion. You could think of it as a mild form of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Sometimes the symptoms can last up to a year and include headaches, difficulty concentrating, irritability and can be emotional and behavioral. The good news is that the majority of individuals with PCS do get better in time.

Because of other factors that often contribute with these type of symptoms, there is a risk of misdiagnosis. It is also not completely understood what causes PCS symptoms to persist or why some people who suffer a mild traumatic brain injury do not develop PCS. The whole diagnosis of PCS and it’s symptoms have been debated since the 19th century.

Although I agree that sometimes there is a need for medication, I am a strong advocate of alternative complementary medicine and have directly experienced healing using those methods. With this type of head injury it may be best to combine specific medication with natural therapies such as diet and energy work. My research indicates that some patients had success using Effexor and Elavil which are classified as antidepressants but used in low doses helped to re-establish nerve pathways in the brain. Also, some people noticed a big improvement adding high quality fish oil, magnesium and CQ-10 into their diet.

For some there may be cognitive or mental symptoms including confusion, problems with attention or even forms of amnesia. Studies have shown that one in four people with PCS suffer with memory and attention problems a year after the injury. It seems that most of the experts believe prolonged symptoms come from a mix of factors such as the individual’s preexisting psychological issues and of course the physical injury itself.

It is in these higher mental functions that natural, holistic healing therapies can greatly improve the condition. Meditation, for example, when learned from an experienced teacher for maximum results, can immensely improve concentration, relaxation and even mood. Considering the fact that studies have convincingly shown that psychological factors play an important role in how symptoms are experienced, patients should use any techniques that strengthen, relax and clear the mind.

Say, for example, a person who has PCS is having problems at work or in social settings. This will most likely act as added stress that can amplify and even worsen their symptoms. Also they may be focusing on the idea that their brains may be damaged and perceive the symptoms to be more intense. The mind can definitely play tricks on us, but with meditation, relaxation and healing techniques that calm our mental state and therefore our actual brainwaves, we allow the body’s own healing mechanisms to work properly.

Positive Mental attitude

— Have you ever dreaded going to the dentist? — Taking a test, physical or mental? — That sudden lack of confidence feeling?

Why does my mind play tricks on me all the time, and am I too old to learn new stuff?

So the kids are all getting annoyed with their parents, who are hogging the Nintendo DS, playing all kinds of different Brain training games.

Can the brain cope with this new leash of life, or are they designed just to absorb so much information during our ‘development’ stage of life.

Several people who have spent a lot longer than me in full time education, have researched this very subject. Their findings reveal that:

Everything you are and have achieved in your lifetime, you only used 5% of your mind power to accomplish this!

5%, can you imagine what you could achieve just by using another 5%.

When you set out your goals, as recommended by all the top self-improvement Guru’s. Take a moment to actually to get into the right mindset, yes it is all about positive thinking, but get your conscious and sub-conscious to get involved and you will kick-start your brain into being more productive.

To achieve this extra 5% Brain power, there are a number of techniques we can utilize.

— The Release Technique also known as the Abundance Course. — Silva Mind Control — Holo-sync audio technology — Creative Visualization — Meditation

All have one thing in common, that is to understand your brain waves. I discovered, that despite my teachers calling me ‘brainless’, I have in fact 4 different types of brain waves at my disposal.

Beta — The most common, produced by a thinking mind. Used whilst concentrating and being alert.

Alpha — Used whilst day-dreaming and in a relaxed state. This is the brain wave we produce whilst meditating. It also provides the optimum learning and memory retention.

Theta — Produced by sub-conscious mind and deep meditation. This is where your hypnotist is delving into your cupboard!

Delta – Produced by a deep unconscious state. Total body unawareness, perhaps this is what my teachers were referring to!

The vast majority of us mortals are controlled by our brain waves, when we should be in control.

Successful people, control their brain waves, whether they are aware of it is another matter.

When you look at the way we are controlled by our brain waves, for instance;

— Saying or doing something you regret later. — Trying to study or read a book, but end up asleep. — Trying to sleep at night, despite all your best efforts, watch the clock!

Now picture yourself:

— Saying and doing the right thing. — Being able to concentrate fully on your studies or book, without any distractions. — Falling asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow — Remaining calm and collected in a crisis.

Sounds ideal, and the best part is that you can achieve this mastery of the mind, very easily.

The benefits of controlling your brain waves, are feeling more energized, refreshed, educated and increased concentration.

By the way, it is never too late to tap into the 95% we have not used yet!

Brainwave Entrainment Success – Using Emotional Power To Change Your Life

Positive emotions, such as the desire to better our lives, have always been a powerful motivation for self improvement. But, would it surprise you to discover you can also use apparently negative emotions, such as anger and disgust, as a spur in your step up to success?

Anger is not an emotion readily associated with success. Yet, for many people, it is the vital catalyst, making the difference between success and ignominy.

Douglas Bader might have died unknown, instead of becoming a famous war hero and an inspiration to a whole generation, were it not for the power of anger.

Following a bravado flying stunt that went badly wrong, he was in hospital, both legs amputated, and close to death. Drifting in and out of consciousness, he chanced to overhear a nurse outside his room whisper he was dying.

That matter of fact statement ignited his rage!

He clawed his way back to recovery with astonishing courage and speed, soon learning to walk again on two artificial legs. Not only did he make it back as a fighter pilot in World War II, he also became a pretty fair golfer — no mean feat for someone with no legs.

Many people who achieve spectacular success rise to these heights from extreme deprivation. Sometimes they were bullied, when children, or held up to ridicule. This ignites a smoldering anger that makes them pay any price to prove their detractors wrong.

Disgust is another powerful emotion, often producing similar results to anger. In fact, disgust is an excellent emotion for you to cultivate, for the following reason.

If you develop an absolute loathing for your present situation, you’ll find it far easier to make the effort, defer the pleasure, spend the time and generally pay whatever price is necessary to bring about the situation you want.

Which brings me to another emotion you can harness to power you to success: desire.

Build up a vivid picture in your mind of the sort of life you really desire. Don’t set artificial limits, because — these days — practically every sort of lifestyle, in any location in the world, is achievable with sufficient desire, particularly if you use the global reach of the internet as the vehicle for your perfect lifestyle.

It’s important to make this a really detailed picture of how your life will be, once you’ve achieved your success. You see, your subconscious mind, which will generate the ideas and inspiration to enable you achieve your goals, thinks in pictures, not words.

So to simply say, “I want five million dollars” is meaningless to your subconscious, because that is the language of the conscious mind. And it is very hard to picture a sum of money, but relatively simple to picture yourself living the dream lifestyle such a sum would provide.

You can make the emotion of desire even stronger if you couple it with those other emotions of anger, disgust and excitement in the following way.

Twice a day, on rising and retiring, take a few minutes to lie down and relax completely. Breathe in and out, slowly and deeply, being aware of the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe. As you relax, your brainwave activity will decrease from the normal rate of about 40 Hz down to about 10Hz, which is the desired “Alpha” state.

At this level your subconscious and conscious minds are in harmony and your subconscious will become extremely receptive to the pictures of your future success that you create in your conscious mind.

Then bring into your mind a picture of your present circumstances. Picture all the things you hate about your life at present: the daily commute to work, the traffic snarl ups, the surly boss, the stress and the pressure.

But only hold that image for a minute, whilst you allow the feeling of utter revulsion, anger and disgust to well up inside you. Then allow all the color to drain out of the picture, as you visualize it moving away from you, getting smaller and smaller. Finally, see it screw up into a ball, like a piece of trash, and disappear. At the same time, imagine hearing the sound of a piece of paper being screwed up.

Immediately, replace that drab, unwanted image with a brilliant, colorful, exciting three dimensional image, in glorious wide screen, of your new life.

Perhaps you’ll be sitting overlooking a beach on Maui, enjoying a leisurely breakfast of freshly picked Hawaiian pineapple, as the waves gently cream upon the golden white sand. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and smell the ocean breeze, as it gently cools you. Hear the roar of the surf and see the sunlight sparkle, as it dances on the waves.

Really feel excited about this vision of paradise in your mind’s eye. Desire it to come about with every fiber of your being. Work up a real sweat!

What you are doing is showing your amazingly powerful subconscious mind, in a language it readily understands — pictures — exactly what you don’t want and exactly what you do want your life to be like.

In short, you’re placing your order for your perfect life.

Your brain is a success orientated organ. It will figure out ways to get you from where you are to where you have shown it you want to be. All you need do is to keep that picture vivid in your mind by repeating the above exercise twice daily.

Now you can move into the final emotion: total, unflinching resolve.

Do you remember this bit in Lord of the Rings: “Sam’s will was set; and only death would break it.”?

That’s how your frame of mind should be, at the end of this session. No doubts, no qualms no debate. Your mind is set in steely resolve: you know with absolute certainty this will be your new life.

Polyphasic sleep – also known as *Uberman’s Sleep Schedule*, consists of six daily naps taken every four
hours instead of one long sleep every night (monophasic
sleep)

The naps can last from a minimum of 10 minutes up to 30
or 40 minutes. 25 minutes is considered optimal.

The polyphasic sleep concept is based upon the fact that
we have a 4 hour *ultradian* rhythm operating alongside
our normal 24 hour cycle. This ultradian rhythm means that
we go through a complete mini-cycle every 4 hours. Usually
at the following times: 4am, 8am, noon, 4pm, 8pm and
midnight. Have you ever experienced dip in energy at 4pm?

Those following the polyphasic sleep schedule usually sleep from 10-30 minutes every 4 hours . This goes on for the whole 24 hours. A modified version of this is also practiced, where 3
hours core sleep in the early morning is followed by 20
minute naps every 4 hours. Individuals can adapt
cycles to better suit their lifestyle.

Mammals living in dangerous environments practice the
polyphasic sleep schedule. Their survival may mean remaining
alert to danger throughout the day and night. Astronauts are
also taught it in case they need to deal with emergency
situations. The army also trains some troops in polyphasic
sleep.

The type of sleep experienced by polyphasic sleepers is
mostly comprised of stage 5 REM. Thus the earlier stages of
sleep are largely bypassed allowing the user a few more
hours of ‘awake time’ each 24 hours. This is a gradual
process though. At first the naps may not be largely NREM
which may explain the seven to ten day stage where
some polyphasic sleepers feel heavy, grumpy, spaced out and
can’t concentrate.

The Advantages of Polyphasic Sleep

Polyphasic sleep has been called the “sleep of genius”
Famous folk such as Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson,
Napoleon. and Winston Churchill have used this schedule in
some form or another. Many who have trialled polyphasic
sleep have reported feeling extremely creative, although
this state may take some weeks to achieve.

The obvious advantage of course is the extra time gained
in each twenty four hour period. If you follow the classic
schedule, six naps of twenty five minutes each, you would be
averaging only two and a half hours sleep!

Once you get used to sleeping this way, you can slip into
the sleep state within a few minutes, compared to twenty
minutes or longer for monophasic sleep.

Writers, or anyone who needs creativity in their field,
find that sleeping this way allows them to be more creative.
This could be due to the occurrence of more alpha and theta
brainwaves, rather than beta, during their waking hours.

Disadvantages?

This type of sleep schedule is not recommended long term although there have been some that have kept it up for 6
months with no apparent ill effects. There has been no long
term research done to find out any negative effects on
health.

Although its been practiced through the centuries, it’s not known whether depressing the other non REM stages of sleep – especially the stages 3 and 4 of deep sleep, may have a
negative effect on long term emotional health.

Polyphasic sleep is impossible to integrate into a normal
working day.

Oh! And another thing.
Those who have tried it have reported an increase in
appetite which may lead to weight gain. You would probably
need to spend some of that extra time doing more exercise!

Conclusion

If you’re interested in trying polyphasic sleep, try it
for a while during your next holidays. It won’t do any
damage short term, except possibly make you feel tired and grumpy!

It is recommended that participants review their eating
habits and make sure they are on an optimum diet with all
the necessary food groups and maybe a vitamin and mineral
supplement.

Also recommended is to have a series of interesting
projects on hand to keep the mind stimulated and to prevent
accidental sleeping outside the schedule.

Polarity And Speed Learning

Do you have something in common with your refrigerator and TV?
Sure, homo sapiens produce 12 watts of electricity 24/7; our cells,
organs and glands require electrochemical impulses to survive.

Are we similar to batteries?
The law of polarity governs our planet, the sun, humans and batteries.
Tops have a positive charge and the bottom a negative charge.

Humans have a positive charge at the top of their structure, and
a negative one at their feet. The left side of our body has a negative
polarity and the right side has a positive charge.

It can be measured by voltmeters; an EEG gives a read-out of our brainwave
rhythms in cycles-per-second. We operate 16 hours daily in Beta Hertz (cycles per second), sleep in Delta, and do creative work in Alpha (alert relaxation) and
Theta (imagination) cycles per second.

The entire planet including humans, produce Vibrational Frequencies. Beta produces brainwaves at 13 to 40 cycles per second (alert consciousness); Alpha (relaxed alertness) produces 8 to 12; Theta (creativity) is 3 to 7; Delta (sleep) 0.50 to 2.5 cycles per second.

So What?

Blocked areas in our mind and body create an imbalance in the human energy fields. Disease, injuries and emotional depression (environmental changes too) can
produce negative imbalances in our left and right hemispheres (brain).

Imbalances cause chronic stress, migraines and susceptibility to diseases. The first
to show evidence of blockage between our left and right brain is our immune systems.

Decussation (crossing over) means our left-brain controls the right side of our body
while the right-brain runs the left side. Our job is to align the polarity between our positive and negative charges of our body. When we align both hemispheres of our
brain to operate in harmony (remove the blockage) we are in-sync, experience peak
experiences and enter the Zone and live in the Flow.

Here is How

Here is a baby-easy two-minute exercise to cancel chronic stress, fatigue and anxiety. It is healthy, life enhancing and may increase longevity with a health brain.

1. Please stand up with feet about 12 inches apart.

2. Take a deep diaphragmatic breath and slowly exhale to a count on one-one-
second, two-one-second and three-one-second.

3. Swing your right-arm and land on your left-shoulder.

4. Next, swing your left-arm and land on your right-shouder

5. Stay criss-crossed for a count of three.

6. Drop your hands and swing your right-arm and land on your left-hip (side)

7. Swing your left-arm and land on your right-hip. Remain them for a count of
three. Drop on your arms.

8. Finally, swing your right-hand and cup your left-ear, and swing your left-
hand and cup your right-ear.

Repeat the entire set again; the entire exercise requires two-minutes.

Conclusion:

Eliminating blockages between hemispheres improves the function of your Central
and Autonomic Nervous Centers. Learning, reading and long-term memory require
a functioning balance between your left and right brains.

Speed Learning strategies produce a 3x increase in reading speed and 2x improvement in your long-term memory. It offers you the competitive edge in school and your career, and the opportunity to be in the fast-lane for success.

Eye-Movements

Our eyeball require movement in order to see; without slight movements there
are no images for our brain to interpret. These movements are called: quakes, mini-saccades (irregular jerks and jolts) drifts and tremors.

We see through the action of our photoreceptors (Rods and Cones) and interneurons in our retina. They convert light into electrochemical signals,
ship them to our Optic Nerve which transports them to our brain for analysis.

Each eye contains six Extra Ocular Muscles called Rectus and Oblique for movement patterns on our field of vision.

Test Yourself

a) Please move your eyes upward-left; back and now upward-right.

b) Move your eyes lateral-left; back and now lateral-right.

c) Move your eyes downward-left, back and now downward-right.

Key Eye-Movement Exercise

The entire exercise takes just Two-Minutes.

1. Please sit down, place your hands on the tops of your knees and relax.

2. Take a deep diaphragmatic breath and exhale slowly to a count of three.

3. Gaze straight ahead horizontally and consciously choose to move your
eyes upward left (toward your eyebrow) and back. Do it a total of three-
times.

4. Gazing straight ahead horizontally, move your eyes upward right and back.
Repeat this eye-movement for a total of three-times.

5. Gazing ahead horizontally, move your eyes laterally-left (toward your left-
ear) and back to center. Do it again twice more.

6. Horizontally gazing ahead, move your eyes laterally-right (toward your right
ear) and back to center for a total of three-repetitions.

7. Gazing ahead horizontally, move your eyes downward-left (toward your left-
leg). Repeat it for a total of three-repetitions.

8. Finally, gazing horizontally, move your eyes downward-right (toward your
right-leg). Do three of these eye-movements each for best results.

Endwords

The purpose of these simply but powerful exercises is to store a balance between your left and right hemispheres. Your left and right brain must work in-sync for
the proper use of your peripheral-vision states.

The highest level of existence (transcendence) according to the Abraham Maslow
and his Hierarchy of Needs permits peak performance, operating in the Zone and
in the Flow. A primary requirement for transcendence is synchronization of the hemispheres of our cerebral cortex.

The secret of peripheral states is seeing through the corners (Edges) of your eyes,
Going-Wide, and never looking a single word in-the-eye. Remember, your six
muscles in each eye permit you to see 180 degrees horizontally and 130 degrees
vertically.

Do these two-minute exercises daily for 21 days and you create a habit. This skill
enables your right-brain to complement your left-brain with pattern-recognition,
spatial-abilities, parallel-processing and intuition.

These six-exercises warm-up your eyes for peripheral learning (right-brain) states
and permits you to triple your reading speed and double your memory.

Remember – before you start learning, studying or testing – warm-up your eyes just
as an athlete practices before playing. You will ace your exams and improve your career personal productivity up to 38%.
