Brainwave Entrainment Why Visualization Won’t Work

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Those putting forward the systems of manifestation in the Law of Attraction, The Secret, and Cosmic Ordering all make the simplistic claim that we just have to ask and we will receive whatever we want. Whilst there area great number of people who have benefited from using these techniques there are many more who have been disillusioned by the whole subject without realising why.

The methods described are all variations on the theme of creative visualisation which is the most powerful manifesting force when it is used correctly, but there is one shift that needs to be made to ensure the full power is released to the universe.

Merely picturing or daydreaming an ideal situation, whether for financial gain, success in relationships, or achievement in any area of one’s life will not necessarily bring about an improvement in that area. Not everyone is able to see a clear picture of something with eyes closed unless the object is very familiar and in the case of athletic or intellectual achievement it can be difficult to choose what to picture at all.

We need to add the element of emotion.

Every emotion has a related frequency and which corresponds to the energy vibration in the universal field, which in turn attracts the condition associated with it. This is why we attract what we think about, it is the emotional state we are attracting and if we think of a negative issue this creates a negative emotion within us and we attract at that frequency. Likewise thinking of a happy or successful occasion attracts more of the same, and we experience the emotion we attach to that.

By adding the emotional feeling to our visualisations we enforce their power of attraction. Although it needs to be as detailed an image as possible, we all have varying degrees of being able to recreate visually, but we need to add the emotional feeling of already possessing whatever we are visualising.

Feel what it is like to drive that dream car, imagine yourself driving it and enjoying the ride knowing that you have manifested your desire.(Take it for a free test run if possible so you can actually experience the event).
Envisage the emotional high you will have when you perform the best ever in front of a massive crowd who are giving you a standing ovation.
Feel the intimacy of being with the man or woman of your dreams, feeling confident and secure in their company. Act as if they are with you and feel the excitement!

Whatever you are trying to visualise and however hard it is to picture, as long as you can produce an emotional response you will trigger a chain of events to attract it to you. This is why some people have little success in manifesting, because they are not emotionally attached to their outcome. or they are trying to manifest too many things at one time without giving attention to their emotional attachment to the result.

If this sounds too difficult, you can use a highly effective way to amplify your emotions by incorporating brainwave entrainment.

By sitting down, relaxing and listening to monaural or binaural beats or isochronic tones, at a frequency designed to attract a particular outcome, your brain is automatically attuned to that outcome. You can use this method to reach an alpha or theta state, both of which enhance any visualisations and accelerate the result.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ‘frequency following’ response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ‘entrain’ to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ‘mind-tripping’, enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person’s starting position, entrainment can be rather ‘hit and miss’.

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you’re probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain’s strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.
